For new subscriptions to New Ichinen Discount + Family Discount, the basic monthly charge for the first month after discounts are applied will be ¥1,102 for Fami-wari Wide Value, and ¥1,260 for Fami-wari Wide Limit Value.

• Outgoing communications are stopped in less than three hours after your communications charges exceed a preset limit.
• You can receive calls even if outgoing calls are stopped.
• No need to worry as you can still dial emergency numbers such as 110.

If the monthly usage charges exceed a preset limit, outgoing calls and packet communications including i-mode will be stopped in less than three hours.12

• 1 When you are subscribed to Pake-hodai double, Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, or Biz-hodai, communications for which a flat-rate monthly charge applies can be used even after the limit is exceeded. (When a flat-rate monthly charge applies for i-mode communications, subscriptions to i-mode fee-based sites may be cancelled; however, information charges will be incurred at the time of cancellation if cancelling during the initial month for sites for which the initial month is provided free of charge.) If using HOMEU service, free calls and communications can be made even after the limit is exceeded.
• 2 Outgoing communications will not be stopped in the following cases even if the limit is exceeded.
  • During the time from the evening of the last day of the month to the morning of the following day
  • During system maintenance
  • During system failures

Incoming calls can still be received even if service for outgoing calls is stopped3, so you need not worry about failing to take an important call. Both sending and receiving of i-mode mail will be stopped, but incoming mail during the period will be stored at the i-mode center.

Calls to inquire about repairs (113) and Limit Service Center (8187, prompts in Japanese only), etc. will still be possible in addition to calls to police (110) or fire/ambulance (119).4

4 If the limit is exceeded, of the Alarm- and Emergency alarm-linked functions included in Kids PHONE and Raku-Raku PHONE IV, the service that automatically transmits voice calls to the registered number cannot be used.

Service will be reactivated if the limit becomes larger than the monthly usage charge after raising the limit. You will need your network PIN (four digits) and Limit password (six digits) in those cases.5

5 The limit can be increased in increments of ¥1,000 up to ¥9,000 per request. The limit cannot be lowered for just the month in which the request is made. The limit can only be increased from a DOCOMO mobile phone (special phone number or i-mode).

By using this service, the limit will be prevented from being raised even if the Limit password becomes known to someone other than the person in charge of raising the limit. Therefore you can use Family Wide Limit Value with peace of mind.

• There are no age restrictions for Hearty Discount subscribers.12

When contacting DOCOMO by phone to apply for Family Wide Limit Value, you will be sent application forms if the person who uses the service is different from the name on the service contract.

• Documents verifying the applicant’s name and date of birth are required. These documents are not required if the same subscriber is changing between Family Wide and Family Wide Limit Value.
• For children up through junior high school age (up to the end of March following the user’s 15th birthday), subscription can be made in the name of the child or their parent or legal guardian after the child enters junior high school. Applications will be under the name of the parent or legal guardian for children who have not yet entered junior high school. For senior citizens 60 and older (following the 60th birthday), the subscription can be made in the name of the applicant or a family member. Subscription will be in the name of the applicant for Hearty Discount subscribers.
• If application is made in the name of a parent or legal guardian or family member, documents verifying the relationship will be required.
• If applying for Family Wide Limit Value and the person eligible for the discount is different to the subscriber, please apply after receiving the permission of the person eligible for the discount. If we recognize that the application to Family Wide Limit Value was made without the permission of the person eligible for the discount, there are instances where we change Family Wide Limit Value to Type Limit Value (+¥800 option). Also, even when the subscriber receives the permission of the person eligible for the discount and subscribes to Family Wide Limit Value, we may change Family Wide Limit Value to Type Limit Value (+¥800 option) at the request of the person eligible for the discount.
• Either Family Wide Limit Value or Family Wide Value is available for one line of DOCOMO per eligible subscriber.
• Family Wide Limit Value is not available to corporate subscribers.

• New Ichinen Discount applies automatically, and the discount is 25% off the basic monthly charge regardless of the length of use. A cancellation charge of ¥3,150 is required when New Ichinen Discount is cancelled outside the yearly two-month period starting from the month when subscription reaches a full year until the month after (except for Hearty Discount).
• New Ichinen Discount takes effect from the month you apply. However, when you apply for Family Discount and Hearty Discount, they will take effect from the following month. For that reason, when you apply for Family Wide Limit Value and a discount at the same time, only the New Ichinen Discount (25% discount) takes effect for the month in which you make the application, and Family Discount and Hearty Discount (60% discount) take effect from the following month.
• When you apply for Family Wide Limit Value and Hearty Discount at the same time, Hearty Discount will take effect from the following month. Therefore, you will apply for New Ichinen Discount for the month in which you made the application. At the end of the month, the New Ichinen Discount will be cancelled but cancellation charges will not apply when transferring to the Hearty Discount.
• If you subscribe to Hearty Discount, the basic monthly charge will be ¥840 regardless of whether or not you subscribe to Family Discount.

• When there are changes to the details regarding eligibility for application such as the name of the subscriber eligible for Family Wide Limit Value, please inform DOCOMO. If you do not inform DOCOMO, and we discover there has been a change, we may change Family Wide Limit Value to Type Limit Value (+¥800 option).
• The billing plan will be transferred to Type Limit Value (+¥800 option) from April 1 after a child subscriber’s 15th birthday. In this case, New Ichinen Discount will be continued and the discount rate will change according to the length of use (except for Hearty Discount subscribers).
• If a relevant subscriber applies for Family Wide Limit Value or Family Wide Value on more than one line, after we have confirmed the application to more than one line, all the lines apart from the line on which he/she first applied will be changed from Family Wide Limit Value to Type Limit Value (+¥800 option) and Family Wide Value to Type SS Value.
