Comparison with Basic Plans

The tax-inclusive amounts shown have been rounded off after the decimal point (excluding those for dialing and data communications charges). The discount amount for the basic monthly charges will be rounded to the nearest ¥10.
Fami-wari MAX50 and Hitoridemo Discount50 are offered on the condition of two years of continuous subscription and will automatically renew unless cancelled by the subscriber. A cancellation charge of ¥9,975 will apply regardless of the length of use if you cancel the discount service or if you cancel the subscription line outside the month following that in which the subscription expires.
You can select not only lump-sum payment but also installment payment when purchasing a handset. What's more, no installment payment handling fee is charged.
DOCOMO installment payment
Models covered by DOCOMO installment payment: Models (in Japanese only) covered by Value Course and Xi "crossy" compatible models

DOCOMO installment payment (individual credit purchase brokerage /installment sale) refers to a purchase method for a FOMA service subscriber who purchases a handset model designated by DOCOMO at the sales price for Value Course specified by the sales store or for an Xi "crossy" service subscriber who purchases a handset model specified by DOCOMO to sign an installment payment contract (individual credit purchase brokerage contract/installment sale contract) with DOCOMO and pay to DOCOMO in installments an amount obtained by subtracting the amount of the down payment specified by each sales store from the amount of the purchase charges. Two types of payment are available: 12 times and 24 times (an installment fee is not charged). The number of payments cannot be changed during the installment payment contract period.
The application must be made by the subscriber in order to use DOCOMO installment payments under a personal name. A representative (except for a legal representative or family member of the subscriber) cannot make the application.
Official identification of the subscriber and a screening process are necessary to apply for the DOCOMO installment payment contracts (individual credit purchase brokerage contract/installment sale contract). Only payments by bank account transfer or by credit card are accepted for monthly installment payments for the individual credit purchase brokerage contract/installment sale contract. When multiple installment payments will be made at the same time, the payment needs to be by bank account transfer (a bank card needs to be presented and the PIN needs to be entered at the shop) or credit card or an application needs to be made to pay the installment payments together with the bills of an existing line for which there is a proven track record of making payments.
Except when a new contract is concluded at the same time, an application for an individual credit purchase brokerage contract is limited to only a subscriber with a proven track record of paying usage charges for the corresponding Xi "crossy" service or FOMA service subscription line.
DOCOMO installment payment contracts (individual credit purchase brokerage contract/installment sale contract) are limited to a total of two contracts, one for a FOMA service subscription (with the exception of a FOMA 2in1 B number subscription) and one for a Xi "crossy" service subscription. A new DOCOMO installment payment contract (individual credit purchase brokerage contract/installment sale contract) may be refused based on the 'results of screening determined by DOCOMO' or 'when DOCOMO determines the purpose of the handset purchase by installments is to resell the handset' even if the number of current DOCOMO installment payment contracts is less than two.
When you use docomo Points for purchasing a handset by DOCOMO installment payment contract (individual credit purchase brokerage contract or installment sale contract), the points are applied to the cost of the product (including the down payment), and the remaining amount (excluding any down payment that remains) is subject to monthly installment payments (in the case of an individual credit purchase brokerage contract or an installment sale contract).
docomo Points that can be used are limited to the number of docomo Points you decide to use when applying for the individual credit purchase brokerage contract or installment sale contract.
The monthly installment payment will be billed along with the usage charges of the FOMA service, Xi "crossy" service, etc. from the next month when the individual credit purchase brokerage contract is signed and from the next month or two when the installment sale contract is signed. The payment method and payment date are the same as the usage charges of the FOMA service, Xi "crossy" service, etc.
Even if you change handset models, cancel the subscription, and so on during the installment payment contract, the remaining amount will continue to be repaid. (You also may pay in full the remaining total amount.)
When a FOMA service or Xi "crossy" service subscriber purchases a handset designated by DOCOMO and signs an individual credit purchase brokerage contract with DOCOMO, DOCOMO will acquire the subscriber's personal credit information from the Member Credit Information Agencies, personal credit information agencies partnering with Member Credit Information Agencies (hereinafter referred to as Partner Credit Information Agencies), and other credit purchase brokerage dealers who are members of Member Credit Information Agencies and Partner Credit Information Agencies or provide that information to those agencies and dealers based on the stipulations of the Installment Sales Act. The handling of personal information (including the acquisition and provision of personal credit information) is conducted in accordance with "Handling of Personal Information in Telecommunications Business".
A Basic Course subscriber cannot use DOCOMO installment payment contracts (individual credit purchase brokerage contract/installment sale contract).
