• Pake-hodai simple is a packet frat-rate service for use with Type Simple and Type Simple Value.
• Applicable communications for Pake-hodai simple are as follows; FOMA i-mode communications, i-mode Full Browser communications, smartphone flat-rate communications, ISP Content Access via access points other than those specified by DOCOMO, and communications made via connection to a PC or other external device.

• If you are subscribed to Pake-hodai simple, the communications allowance included in the basic monthly charge and Packet Pack, Two-Month CarryOver, and communications allowance shared among Family Discount and Office Discount group members will not apply to packet communications. However, it will apply to packet communications during international roaming1, mova packet communications with Dual Network Service, etc.
• The i-mode monthly charge of ¥315 is incurred to use i-mode (application to i-mode is not necessary if you use only ISP Content Access).
• A subscription to a compatible provider, such as sp-mode (¥315/month), mopera U (U Standard Plan for ¥525/month), or BlackBerry Internet Service (¥490/month), is required to use smartphones.
• i-mode information charges will be incurred depending on the sites you use in addition to packet communications.
• The limit for i-mode Full Browser and smartphone flat-rate communications is ¥5,985.
• The limit for packet communications made via connection to a PC or other external device is ¥8,190. (The limit for communications with a downstream speed of up to 128 kbps and an upstream speed of 64 kbps using specific access points designated by DOCOMO is ¥5,985. Data rates are provided on a best effort basis, and actual data rates will vary depending on the communications environment and network congestion.)
• The indication on your monthly bill and other documents will be (Pake-hodai double/Pake-hodai simple).

• When you apply for Pake-hodai simple, you can select the applicable date from the date of application and the next month.

• A limit on charges and packet communications charges will not be calculated on a per-diem basis regardless of the actual number of days used.
• Pake-hodai simple will apply for applicable communications made from the time of application (Pake-hodai simple will not apply to communications made between the first of the month and the time of application).
• When you cancel Pake-hodai simple, Pake-hodai simple will apply to communications up to the last day of the month.
  If you cancel Pake-hodai simple, be careful because packet communications charges may become high.
• If both Pake-hodai double and Pake-hodai simple are used in the same month, the flat rate of Pake-hodai double does not apply and the communications allowance is also not applicable.
• Subscribers to Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, or Biz-hodai can select whether the application for Pake-hodai double applies from the 1st of the current month or from the following month. If from the 1st of the current month is selected, Pake-hodai double is considered to have been applied from the 1st of the current month and the packet communications charges are recalculated. In such a case, the flat-rate monthly charge for Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, or Biz-hodai does not apply.
• If you change to billing plans (billing plans except for Type Simple or Type Simple Value) for which Pake-hodai simple does not apply, Pake-hodai simple will be cancelled and you will be automatically subscribed to Pake-hodai double. In such cases, the flat-rate monthly charge of ¥390 will apply the following month.
• When you apply for subscription transfer to a third party, Pake-hodai simple will be transferred to the transferee.
• Usage charges will be calculated applying the billing plan and discount in effect at the end of communications. (If Pake-hodai simple is discontinued on the last day of the current month, communications that continue from the current month to the next month will not be covered by Pake-hodai simple.)

  <If using sp-mode or BlackBerry®>
  When you cancel Pake-hodai double/simple, communications that maintain the network connection from the day of cancellation to the next day will not be covered by Pake-hodai double/simple, so be sure to restart your handset on the day of cancellation.
  <If using mopera U>
  If you applied to discontinue Pake-hodai double/simple as of the end of the current month, you will be able to use Pake-hodai double/simple until the end of the month. However, you will be unable to access the smartphone flat-rate access point for up to approximately 15 minutes prior to the change from the end of the month to the first day of the following month to prevent the usage fee of packet communications charges from becoming high.

• The usage charges for Pake-hodai simple are calculated in the following order at the end of the month; (1) i-mode communications, (2) i-mode Full Browser communications, smartphone flat-rate communications, and 128K communications, and (3) packet communications made via connection to a PC or other external device.
  • i-mode communications charges are calculated at ¥0.084/packet, with the maximum charge being ¥4,410.
  • i-mode Full Browser communications, smartphone flat-rate communications, and 128K communications charges are calculated at ¥0.084/packet, with the maximum charge being ¥5,985 for the total of communications and (1) above.
  • Packet communications charges for communications made via connection to a PC or other external device are calculated at ¥0.084/packet up to ¥5,985, and at ¥0.021/packet in excess of ¥5,985 in addition to the above (2), with the limit of ¥8,190 combining the above (1) and (2).

• Pake-hodai simple can be combined with Long-Term Subscriber Discount, Fami-wari MAX50, Hitoridemo Discount50, New Ichinen Discount, Family Discount, e-billing, Business Discount50, Business Call Discount, Business Discount, Office Discount, Office-wari MAX50, Hearty Discount, Two-Month CarryOver, and other discount services. However, the discounts do not apply to the limit on Pake-hodai simple charges, or packet communications charges.
• You may reach the maximum charge even if you only use the following services a few times.
  Chaku-Uta Full, i-αppli (Mega Games), i-αppli online, video clip distribution through i-αppli, Uta-hodai, GPS navigation, Kisekae Tool, i-motion, comics/photo collections, Music&Video Channel, etc.
• Even when you use ISP Content Access, Pake-hodai simple will apply under the same conditions as when you use i-mode communications.

• Some communications are not applicable to the limit and service, so please check the notes for details.

• Depending on network traffic conditions, communications may become slow or connecting may become difficult. Furthermore, communications may become slower for especially heavy users (amount of packet communications during the last three days including the current day is 3 million packets or more) compared to other users. Please check (Check and pay charges) of My docomo (PC version/i-mode version) for a rough estimate4 of the amount of packet communications you have used over the last three days. Communications may be interrupted if a large amount of data is transmitted within a set amount of time or during a single connection, if the connection time is long, or if you connect continuously within a set amount of time.
• i-mode Full Browser is only available with compatible handsets.
• Part or all of certain websites may not be viewable.

4 Please note that this only indicates a rough estimate of the amount of communications, so it may differ from the amount of data actually used to calculate your bill because, for example, items such as the amount of usage overseas are not included. Also, the amount of communications is displayed rounded up to the nearest 1,000 packets.

<Smartphone subscribers>

• You may not be able to view part or all of some sites.
• After completing Pake-hodai simple subscription procedures, check the settings and the access point for your handset model.
• For hTc Z and M1000 handsets, download the connection application and make handset settings.
• Bluetooth® communications, connection via USB cable, infrared communications, and wireless LAN communications cannot be used during communications to a smartphone flat-rate access point (this does not apply to the XperiaTM SO-01B, HT-03A, BlackBerry® BoldTM, and BlackBerry® 8707h handsets).
