• Pake-hodai double is available for subscribers of FOMA New Billing Plans (excluding Type Simple and Type Simple Value).
• Pake-hodai double applies to i-mode communications with FOMA, communications using i-mode Full Browser, smartphone flat-rate communications, ISP Content Access via access points other than those specified by DOCOMO, and communications made via connection to a PC or other external device.

Pake-hodai double does not apply to the following types of communications, including packet communications with international roaming (including i-mode and i-mode Full Browser communications).

• Packet communications during international roaming (including i-mode and i-mode Full Browser communications). However, Global Pake-hodai communications charges will apply during international roaming when Pake-hodai simple subscribers make packet communications with a Global Pake-hodai compatible communications carrier.
• mova packet communications with Dual Network Service (including i-mode communications)
• Short Message Service
• Voice communications
• Digital communications (Videophone, 64K data communications)
• HOMEU communications etc.

• The ¥390 flat-rate monthly charge for Pake-hodai double can be used as the communications allowance, but will only be applied to packet communications1, and will not be applied to Two-Month CarryOver and communications shared among Family Discount and Office Discount group members.
• If you are subscribed to Pake-hodai double, the communications allowance included in the basic monthly charge and Packet Pack, Two-Month CarryOver, and communications allowance shared among Family Discount and Office Discount group members will not apply to packet communications. However, it will apply to packet communications during international roaming2, mova packet communications with Dual Network Service, etc.
• The flat-rate monthly charge for Pake-hodai double (¥390) will be incurred even if you do not use communications Pake-hodai double applies to.

• 1 Pake-hodai double does not apply to mova packet communications with Dual Network Service and packet communications with international roaming.
• 2 This will exclude packet communications with overseas compatible communications carriers using Global Pake-hodai.

• The following shows when Pake-hodai double will begin to be applied.
  • Subscription line with Pake-hodai FLAT, Pake-hodai double 2, or Pake-hodai simple subscription
    'Apply from following month' is selected automatically.
  • Subscription line with Pake-hodai simple subscription
    Pake-hodai simple is a packet flat-rate service specifically for Type Simple Value (Type Simple), so if you have changed from Type Simple Value (Type Simple) to another FOMA New Billing Plan, the applicable service from after the change will be Pake-hodai double.

    If both Pake-hodai double and Pake-hodai simple are used in the same month, the flat rate of Pake-hodai double does not apply and the communications allowance is also not applicable.

  • Subscription line with Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, or Biz-hodai subscription
    Select between 'Apply from 1st of current month' and 'Apply from following month'.

    If you have requested for the service to be backdated to start from the 1st of the current month, Pake-hodai double is considered to have been applied from the 1st of the current month and the packet communications charges are recalculated. In such a case, the current month's flat rate charge for Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, or Biz-hodai does not apply.

  • Subscription line with no packet flat-rate service subscription
    Select between 'Apply from current day' and 'Apply from following month'.

    If you request for the service to start from the current day, Pake-hodai double will cover communications made from the time of application. (Communications made between the first of the month and the time of application will not be covered by Pake-hodai double.)

• Pake-hodai double can also be applied to charges starting from the month before application, but only once per subscriber line (in such a case, the amount is recalculated with the applicable date from the previous month and the amount of the difference is refunded in the bill for the next month. docomo Points and stage points are also deleted in accordance with the amount refunded for the difference). If you wish to have Pake-hodai double applied to charges starting from the month before application, inquire at the docomo Information Center or your nearest docomo Shop.
• The ¥390 flat-rate monthly charge for Pake-hodai double for the month of application will be calculated on a per-diem basis according to the number of days used. In that case, any fraction below one yen of the flat-rate monthly charge is rounded down, and any fraction below one yen of the communications allowance is rounded up. The i-mode maximum charge and i-mode Full Browser maximum charge will not be calculated on a per-diem basis regardless of the number of days used.
  [Service start on day of application]
• When you make an application to cancel Pake-hodai double, it will be cancelled at the end of the month.
  However, if you make an application at the same time as you cancel i-mode, Pake-hodai double may not apply to communications after it is cancelled.
  Please note that packet communications charges may become high after cancelling Pake-hodai double.
• If you change to a billing plan (excluding Type Simple and Type Simple Value) that is not covered by Pake-hodai double, Pake-hodai double will be automatically cancelled. In such cases, the flat-rate monthly charge of ¥390 will not be calculated on a per-diem basis according to the number of days used; rather, the full month’s charge will be collected.
• When you apply for subscription transfer to a third party, Pake-hodai double will be transferred to the transferee. In such cases, the flat-rate monthly charge of ¥390 that applies for the month of subscription transfer will be only for one month.
• Usage charges will be calculated applying the billing plan and discount in effect at the end of communications. (If you applied to discontinue Pake-hodai double on the last day of the current month, communications that continue from the current month to the next month will not be covered by Pake-hodai double.)

  <If using sp-mode or BlackBerry®>
  When you cancel Pake-hodai double, communications that maintain the network connection from the day of cancellation to the next day will not be covered by Pake-hodai double, so be sure to restart your handset on the day of cancellation.
  <If using mopera U>
  If you applied to discontinue Pake-hodai double as of the end of the current month, you will be able to use Pake-hodai double until the end of the month. However, you will be unable to access the smartphone flat-rate access point for up to approximately 15 minutes prior to the change from the end of the month to the first day of the following month to prevent the usage fee of packet communications charges from becoming high.

• Usage charges for Pake-hodai double will be calculated at the end of the month in the order of (1) i-mode communications, (2) i-mode Full Browser communications, smartphone flat-rate communications, and 128K communications, and (3) communications made via connection to a PC or other external device.
  • i-mode communications charges are calculated at ¥0.084/packet, with the maximum charge being ¥4,410.
  • Communications charges for i-mode Full Browser, smartphone flat-rate, and 128K are calculated at ¥0.084/packet, with the maximum charge being ¥5,985 for the total of communications and (1) above.
  • Packet communications charges for communications made by connecting to a PC, PDA, or other device are calculated at ¥0.084/packet up to ¥5,985, and at ¥0.021/packet in excess of ¥5,985 in addition to the above (2), with the limit of ¥8,190 combining the above (1) and (2).

• The flat-rate monthly charge for Pake-hodai double (¥390) will be incurred even if you do not use communications Pake-hodai double applies to.

• Pake-hodai double can be used along with Long-Term Subscriber Discount, Fami-wari MAX50, Hitoridemo Discount50, New Ichinen Discount, Family Discount, e-billing, Business Discount50, Business Call Discount, Business Discount, Office Discount, Office-wari MAX50, Hearty Discount, Two-Month CarryOver, and other discounts. However, the discounts do not apply to the Pake-hodai double flat-rate monthly charge, maximum charges, and packet communications charges.
• You may reach the maximum charge even if you only use the following services a few times.
  Chaku-Uta Full®, i-αppli (Mega Games), i-αppli online, i-mode mail (2 MB) attachments, video clip distribution through i-αppli, Uta-hodai, GPS navigation, Kisekae Tool, i-motion, comics/photo collections, Music&Video Channel, etc.
• If you use Type Limit, Type Limit Value, Family Wide Limit, and Family Wide Limit Value with a subscription for Pake-hodai double, packet communications3 are not applied to determining if the preset limit has been reached. You will be able to use packet communications3 even after outgoing communications are blocked.
• If you are subscribed to Type Limit, Type Limit Value, Family Wide Limit, or Family Wide Limit Value and apply for Pake-hodai double to apply on the day of application when the preset limit is exceeded, you will only be able to use packet communications3 after applying.
• Even when you use ISP Content Access, Pake-hodai double will apply under the same conditions as when you use i-mode communications.
• The indication on your monthly bill and other documents will be (Pake-hodai double/Pake-hodai simple).

• 4 A separate subscription to a compatible ISP such as mopera U is required.
• 5 128K communications (in Japanese only) have a downstream speed of up to 128 kbps and an upstream speed of 64 kbps, and use specific access points. (Data rates are provided on a best effort basis, and actual data rates may vary depending on the communications environment and network congestion.) When using 128K communications, check the 128K communications compatible ISPs (in Japanese only).
• Some communications are not applicable to the limit and service, so please check the notes for details.

• Depending on network traffic conditions, communications may become slow or connecting may become difficult. Furthermore, communications may become slower for especially heavy users (amount of packet communications during the last three days including the current day is 3 million packets or more) compared to other users. Please check (Check and pay charges) of My docomo (PC version/i-mode version) for a rough estimate6 of the amount of packet communications you have used over the last three days. Communications may be interrupted if a large amount of data is transmitted within a set amount of time or during a single connection, if the connection time is long, or if you connect continuously within a set amount of time.
• The number of i-mode mail messages (including i-shot and i-motion mail with FOMA) and sp-mode mail messages that can be sent in one day is fewer than 1,000 per handset. In addition, you may not be able to send further messages depending on the settings of the receiver (Reject Mass i-mode Mail Senders) if you have sent 500 or more messages per handset in the same day with FOMA.

• You may not be able to view part or all of some sites.
• After completing Pake-hodai double subscription procedures, check the settings and the access point for your handset model.
• For hTc Z and M1000 handsets, download the connection application and make handset settings.
• Bluetooth® communications, connection via USB cable, infrared communications, and wireless LAN communications cannot be used during communications to a smartphone flat-rate access point (this does not apply to the XperiaTM SO-01B, HT-03A, BlackBerry® BoldTM, and BlackBerry® 8707h handsets).
