Converting to the IP-based FOMA Voice Network

As part of the current NTT DOCOMO progress in implementing the All-IP Network, we are converting the circuitswitched core network that provides FOMA voice services to an IP-based network. The objectives are to achieve higher network capacity and efficiency and to provide the users new benefit, such as continuity of services that span access networks and adding new services to the network for voice services.
