• Free packets only apply to packet communications other than i-mode in Japan (and will also not apply to international services.) Also, they will not apply to plans other than the Data Plans.
• The following services are not available with FOMA Data Communications Billing Plans.
  Voice communications, i-mode, Voice Mail Service, Melody Call, English Announcement Service, Call Waiting Service, News delivery service (Tokudane News Bin), Dual Network Service, Caller ID Display Request Service, Multiaccess, 2in1, Multi number, Fami-wari MAX50, Hitoridemo Discount50, Option Pack Discount, Long-Term Subscriber Discount, New Ichinen Discount/Ichinen Discount, Packet Packs, Pake-hodai double, Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, Biz-hodai double, Biz-hodai, Kake-Hodai, PushTalkplus, Ikkatsu Discount, WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount, Bulk Line Discount, Volume Discount, shared communications allowances with Family Discount and Office Discount
• Cancellation charges do not apply if you subscribe to Flat-Rate Data Discount, Fami-wari MAX50, Hitoridemo Discount 50, Office-wari MAX50, New Ichinen Discount, or Ichinen Discount and change your billing plan to Flat-Rate Data Plan 64K or a measured-rate data plan. However, cancellation charges will apply if, during the subscription period, you cancel or suspend your line or change to a billing plan other than Flat-Rate Data Plan 64K or a measured-rate data plan (unless applying for Flat-Rate Data Discount, Fami-wari MAX50, Hitoridemo Discount 50, or Office-wari MAX50 at the same time).
• Cancellation charges will apply if you subscribe to Fami-wari MAX50, Hitoridemo Discount 50, Office-wari MAX50, New Ichinen Discount, or Ichinen Discount and change your billing plan to Flat-Rate Data Plan HIGH-SPEED (unless applying for Flat-Rate Data Discount at the same time).
• If you change between FOMA Data Communications Billing Plans in the middle of the month, free packets that remain will be calculated on a per-diem basis and carried over to the new plan upon conversion to a communications allowance monetary amount.
• Two-month CarryOver of packet communications allowances for FOMA Data Communications Billing Plans cannot be shared even within Family Discount or Office Discount group.
• You can sign up for Yu Yu Call at the same time as a FOMA Data Communications Billing Plan, but the discount will only apply to digital communications for Videophone. The bonus (communications allowances given to the called party) will not be available. You can receive the bonus from the other party, but the bonus will not apply for communications allowances the FOMA Data Communications Billing Plan applies to (received bonuses will be shown on your monthly mobile phone bill).
• A ¥1,000 (¥1,050 incl. tax) handling fee will be applied each time from the third change to your billing plan between FOMA Data Communications Billing Plans (including cancellations and new applications) in the same month.
• A ¥2,000 (¥2,100 incl. tax) handling fee will be applied each time to change between FOMA New Billing Plans or old FOMA billing plans and FOMA Data Communications Billing Plans.
• When you change between FOMA New Billing Plans or old FOMA billing plans and FOMA Data Communications Billing Plans, the communications allowances (free packets) available for use with your billing plan before the change are not available and cannot be carried over to the plan after the change.
• When FOMA Data Communications Billing Plans1 and New Billing Plans are used concurrently in the same month due to changes in the billing plans, FOMA Data Communications Billing Plan packet communications allowances apply to FOMA Data Communications Billing Plan usage. New Billing Plan communications allowances apply for usage under New Billing Plans. In those cases, the amounts of unused FOMA Data Communications Billing Plan packet communications allowances and unused New Billing Plan communications allowances will not be appropriated to each other.
  Also, Two-Month CarryOver will only apply to the free packets or communications allowances of the billing plan in use at the end of the month (FOMA Data Communications Billing Plan or New Billing Plan). If signing up for Family Discount, Two-Month CarryOver will not apply.
• 1 Data Plans here refers to Data Plan SS, Data Plan S Packet Plus, Data Plan M Packet Plus, Data Plan L Packet Plus, and Data Plan LL Packet Plus.

We recommend that you use a FOMA Packet Pack discount.
Combine a Packet Pack with a FOMA billing plan to save on packet communications charges.

Please note that Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, and Biz-hodai flat-rate services for FOMA packet communications do not apply for communications made by connecting to an external device such as a PC.

Cautions on high charges when using packet communications (in Japanese only)

If the number of packets exceeds a certain amount, the following communications charges will apply to the exceeded amount.

• 150,000 to 600,000 packets: ¥0.1 (¥0.105 incl. tax)/packet
• 600,000 to 2 million packets: ¥0.05 (¥0.0525 incl. tax)/packet
• Over 2 million packets: ¥0.02 (¥0.021 incl. tax)/packet

Packet Pack 10, Data Plan SS

• 600,000 to 2 million packets: ¥0.05 (¥0.0525 incl. tax)/packet
• Over 2 million packets: ¥0.02 (¥0.021 incl. tax)/packet

Packet Pack 30, Data Plan S Packet Plus

• Over 2 million packets: ¥0.02 (¥0.021 incl. tax)/packet
