What are Pictograms?
There are two main types of i-mode compatible pictograms, as shown below.
i-mode Compatible Pictograms
i-mode compatible pictograms are illustrations that are already prepared for use on your mobile phone. They are picture characters that express different emotions and are mainly used when creating mails. They are also often used by many i-mode compatible web pages.
i-mode compatible pictograms are comprised of basic pictograms and expansion pictograms.
Basic Pictograms
Basic pictograms can be used with all i-mode compatible models. All 176 pictograms are available.

Expansion Pictograms
Expansion pictograms can be used with models compatible with i-mode compatible HTML 4.0 and later. 76 pictograms have been added.

Deco-mail pictograms
Deco-mail pictograms are pictograms for use on handsets compatible with Deco-mail Version 3.0 or later.
Pictograms can be input into message text on compatible handsets just like i-mode compatible pictograms. Deco-mail pictograms can only be input into the main text of the mail message.
