About 3G and 3G 850
In 3G areas, there are two types of network: 3G and 3G 850.
3G areas in some countries and regions only support the 3G 850 network, so you need to use a 3G 850 compatible mobile phone (Class 2/4).
(Even in the above countries and regions, you can use a GSM compatible mobile phone [Class 3/4] in GSM areas.)
Some GSM compatible countries and regions use networks (GSM 850 networks) that differ from regular GSM networks, so you will not be able to use the networks unless you have a GSM 850 compatible mobile phone.
Countries or regions in which only GSM 850 compatible mobile phones can be used: Montserrat
Please check whether your mobile phone can be used at your destination.

Incoming call charges apply for receiving calls. When you use your phone overseas, since you use your Japanese phone number, the calls you receive are made to Japan and then forwarded to your destination via Japan. Therefore incoming call charges are incurred by the receiver of the call. |
