With WORLD WING, DOCOMO's international roaming service, you can use your usual number for calls in countries and regions around the world.
Make and receive calls with the mobile phone number you use in Japan even at your destination, and even dial numbers from the Phonebook as usual. Use your mobile phone just as if you were in Japan. You can make calls within your country of stay as well as international calls.

Dial the other party's phone number including the area code (city code) > Start key

  • noticeWhen calling from a handset supporting International Dial Assist settings, please choose "Call original number" when the dialing method confirmation screen is displayed.
  • noticeIf you cannot make a domestic call in the USA with the above dialing procedure, dial "1" (USA country code) before dialing the other party's phone number from the area code (city code). Even if you add the country code "1" when dialing, only domestic call charges for the country of stay apply.
  • noticeIf you cannot make a domestic call in Germany with the above dialing procedure, dial "49" (Germany country code) before dialing the other party's phone number from the area code (city code). Even if you add the country code "49" when dialing, only domestic call charges for the country of stay apply.
  • noticeIf you cannot make a domestic call in Mexico with the above dialing procedure, dial "01" before dialing the other party's phone number from the area code (city code).

-Calling Japan -Calling another WORLD WING user -Calling a non-DOCOMO roaming phone Make calls directly from your Phonebook even while overseas International Dial Assist settings When calls are made overseas using the Phonebook, the confirmation screen for making the call will be displayed as shown in the figure on the left. If you select Dial (Yes), the country code and other necessary numbers will be added automatically. (The default setting is for Japan.) A screen to confirm the automatic replacement of the "0" at the beginning of the phone number with "+" and "81" (country code for Japan) is displayed. *The above screen is for illustrative purposes. *Only numbers that begin with "0" are supported. Calls to some countries and regions (Italy etc.) are not supported. *Numbers are not automatically converted when they are registered in the Phonebook preceded by 184 and 186. *When the international call access number is already added to the phone number registered in the Phonebook or if the phone number is a local phone number, select "Dial original phone number".

★How to display "+": Hold down 0 for more than one second while the standby screen is displayed. *With NM706i, NM705i, and NM850iG, "+" can be displayed by pressing * twice. However, settings must not be made to replace the international prefix. *The procedure to display "+" depends on the handset. Please check the user's manual for details.

International call access number of the country from which the call is mode > Country code for Japan 81 > Your mobile phone number excluding the first "0"

Point: Incoming call charges apply when you receive calls during international roaming since the calls you receive are made to the mobile phone number you subscribe to in Japan and then forwarded to your destination via Japan.

noticeEven when settings have been configured to notify the caller's phone number, the correct phone number may not be displayed, and a notice indicating that the Caller ID is not available or blocked may be shown. If the called party is using a service or function to restrict incoming calls in such cases, the incoming call may not be connected, but voice/data communications charges may still be incurred for the call.
