International dialing/messaging service notes on use

• Charges for this Service vary depending on the country or region and the called party. Charges for this Service differ from the normal FOMA service or Xi service billing system. For other important notes and cautions, be sure to check Voice/data communications charges and service areas for international dialing services for the latest information.
• Communications allowances included in FOMA service and Xi service basic monthly charges and Packet Packs apply to the charges for this Service. However, communications allowances included in FOMA Data Transmission Exclusive Plans and Xi Data Transmission Exclusive Plans do not apply. Furthermore, flat-rate discount services such as Mail Tsukai-hodai and Pake-hodai double and discount services other than Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount do not apply.
• This Service will not be available if you subscribe to Type Limit, Type Limit Value, Limit Plus, Family Wide Limit, or Family Wide Limit Value.
• This Service will not be available if you have applied for satellite mobile communications service under Plan E or WideStar communications service under Type M.
• Charges for this Service will be listed on your bill separately from the FOMA and Xi dialing charges.
• Separate application is required in advance to use Itemized Billing Service for voice/data communications charges with this Service.
• The voice/data communications charges of this Service are included in the approximate amount applicable for Charge Notice Service.
• If you are subscribed to Charge Notice Service, you will be notified when the approximate amount for the total of the voice/data communications charges for this Service, International SMS and International MMS communications charges, domestic voice/data communications charges, etc. exceeds the amount you set in advance.

• At the time of FOMA service or Xi service subscription, DOCOMO will set a monthly limit (charge limit) for charges incurred when using this Service. When this Service is used with a 2in1 Service subscription, DOCOMO shall set the limit on charges separately for the A number subscription and B number subscription.
• DOCOMO will inform you of the monthly limit at the time of application. If you wish to change the monthly limit, please inquire at a docomo Shop or at the docomo Information Center. Please note that the limit may not be changed in some cases. Users with a 2in1 Service subscription can apply to change the limit for the A number subscription and the B number subscription respectively.
• Please note that once DOCOMO confirms that your monthly usage amount for this Service has reached or exceeded the limit, this Service will be suspended and cannot be used for the remainder of the current month. If you subscribe to 2in1 Service, whether or not your limit on charges has been exceeded will be determined by DOCOMO separately for the A number subscription and B number subscription based on the total amount of monthly charges for each. If your monthly limit has been exceeded, this Service will be suspended only for the number for which the limit has been exceeded.
• Please note that the amount displayed on your mobile phone or announced by the information center upon your request is your monthly usage charge before discounts (Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount) and communications allowances are applied. Therefore, this Service will be suspended when your usage charges, before discounts have been applied, reach the monthly limit.
• Even when the monthly usage charges exceed the monthly limit, you will be required to pay all the monthly usage charges including those that exceed the monthly limit.
• This Service will be reactivated during suspension if DOCOMO confirms payment of the total amount of charges for the month for this Service.
• If you have not yet reached your monthly limit, but expect that you will exceed the limit, you can avoid having this Service suspended by paying the total amount of charges for the month any time during the month. (Regardless of whether this Service is suspended or not, as long as DOCOMO confirms that the total amount of charges for the month has been paid, you can use this Service again up to your monthly limit.)
• If you choose to pay charges for the month before the end of the month, discounts (Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount) and communications allowances will not be applied to that amount. Discounts (Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount) and communications allowances will be applied to the total amount of charges (including charges for this Service that have already been paid during the month) when the usage charge for the applicable month is billed.
• If you reach your monthly limit while using this Service (during voice/data communications), the active voice/data communications will be completed without interruption. Therefore, the charges billed may exceed the monthly limit, but you will still be required to pay all charges for that month including those that exceeded the monthly limit.
• Even if your monthly usage charges reach the monthly limit, this Service may not be suspended due to factors such as system disruption in DOCOMO telecommunications equipment. Even with such a case, you will still be required to pay all charges for that month including those that exceeded the monthly limit.
• Even if this Service is suspended because your monthly usage charges exceeded the monthly limit, the Service will be reactivated on the first day of the following month.

• To use Yu Yu Call with this Service, you must submit an application and register up to two international numbers for Yu Yu Call. (If you subscribed to 2in1 on or after March 3, 2008 and wish to apply Yu Yu Call to this Service with the B number, you will need to submit a separate application for Yu Yu Call and register the international numbers under the B number subscription in addition to your A number subscription. Furthermore, to use this Service with the B number, you will need to subscribe to this Service from your B number subscription.)
• Yu Yu Call will only apply to international calls using this Service. Yu Yu Call will not apply to international phone services using other operators. Also, the discount will be a uniform rate of 30%.
• Yu Yu Call does not apply to charges for International SMS, International MMS, 64K digital communications, and incoming call charges for WORLD WING.
• Yu Yu Call will apply to voice communications charges from the month following application (applicable charges billed two months after).

• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount applicants must apply using the representative line of a single billing group.
• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount will apply to voice/data communications charges for subscribers with two or more lines, including at least one line with subscription to this Service and to WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount, under the same name on a single bill. (If you subscribed to 2in1 on or after March 3, 2008, you will need to incorporate A number and B number subscriptions respectively into a single billing group that fulfills the requirements above.)
• Available to subscribers who are registered as the addressee of the bill.
• Voice/data communications charges are not covered by WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount for lines subscribed to the following billing plans:
  FOMA: Limit Plus, Type Limit (Value), Family Wide Limit (Value), FOMA Data Transmission Exclusive Plans (flat-rate data plans/measured-rate data plans), FOMA Ubiquitous Plan
  Satellite mobile communications service (including satellite packet service): Plan E, Basic Plan S, Flat Plan S, Basic Plan, Flat Plan
  WideStar communications service: Type M
• Lines subscribed to the following billing plan cannot be designated as the main line for WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount.
  FOMA: Type Simple (Value)
• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount is not available if the main line of a single bill is subscribed to the satellite mobile communications service or packet communications service. Furthermore, WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount is not available if the main line of a single bill is subscribed to the WideStar communications service and has applied for Exclusive Band Service.
• If the subscriber allows use of lines applicable to the discount to a party other than the subscriber for business purposes, or if any other condition arises that causes interference to DOCOMO's business activities, discounts will no longer be applied. If any of the stipulations determined by DOCOMO including the above are violated after application, the WOLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount may be canceled.
• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount is not available if you apply for Office Discount.
• Office-wari MAX50 and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount can be applied for simultaneously. However, only Office-wari MAX 50 discounts will be applied.
• Ikkatsu Discount/Bulk Line Discount and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount can be applied for simultaneously. However, Ikkatsu Discount/Bulk Line Discount will only apply to domestic voice/data communications charges, whereas WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount will only apply to international voice/data communications charges.
• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount does not apply to International SMS, International MMS, or incoming call charges for WORLD WING.
• Discounts will apply to voice/data communications charges for this Service from the month following application (applicable charges billed two months after).
• If you cancel WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount, the discount will apply to voice/data communications charges for this Service for the month of cancellation (applicable charges billed the following month). If you cancel in the middle of the month, the monthly charge for WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount for that month will not be refunded.
• Discounts are calculated on the day the bill is finalized (at the end of the month), and are not applied to the cumulative monthly charges for voice/data communications made using this Service when paying the amount before the end of the month.
• Discounts will be applied to the monthly total of voice/data communications charges for this Service, including the cumulative monthly charges that were already paid before the end of the month.
• When applying for Office wari-MAX50, discounts for Office wari-MAX50 will apply from the day of application, and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount will apply up to the month before application.
• The discount (35%) will be applied to voice/data communications charges for this Service incurred by lines in the single billing group that used this Service, with amounts less than ¥1 rounded up.
• Application for WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount can be made without applying for this Service. In that case, the monthly charge must be paid even if there are no voice/data communications charges subject to the discount.
• Discounts will apply when there are two or more lines in a single billing group using billing plans subject to the discount within the month. (If there are no lines or only one line using a billing plan subject to the discount during the month, neither discounts nor the basic monthly charge will apply.)

• Some DOCOMO services are not available with this Service.
• In some instances, such as when you cannot connect to the other party but have heard the voice announcement provided by the overseas operator or hear the ringback tone, voice/data communications charges may be incurred depending on communications conditions etc. at the overseas operator in the country called.
• As a general rule, charges will apply even if the number is a domestic toll-free number in the country you are calling. Please also be aware that some services, including toll-free numbers, may not be available.
• Lines may be congested and it may be difficult to make connections at certain times of the day.
• Even if your phone is set to display the caller ID to the other party, your phone number may not be displayed properly due to conditions at the overseas operator.
• If you subscribed to 2in1 on or after June 1, 2009, a separate application is required to use this Service with the B number if you have not applied to use this Service with the A number.

• Digital communications charges apply for Videophone calls made when using this Service.
• Videophone calls can only be made when using designated Videophone compatible handsets.
• Digital communications charges also apply to international 64K digital communications. For more information, please see Voice/data communications charges and service areas for international dialing services.
• The dialing procedure for international calls with mobile phones has changed due to the start of the MYLINE service. Please note that the previous dialing procedure (dialing procedure without the prefix "010") can no longer be used.

DOCOMO reserves the right to make changes to the above notes on use as necessary. When a change is made, details of the change will be notified through means such as the DOCOMO website.

• NTT DOCOMO (hereinafter referred to as "DOCOMO") provides the "International SMS" Short Message Service (hereinafter referred to as "this Service") based on "FOMA service contract stipulations (in Japanese only)" or "Xi service contract stipulations (in Japanese only)". Before using International SMS, please be sure to acknowledge and consent to the "FOMA service contract stipulations (in Japanese only)" or "Xi service contract stipulations (in Japanese only) " and the notes below.
  Application is not required to use this Service.
• Communications allowances included in FOMA service billing plans and Packet Packs apply to communications charges for this Service. However, communications allowances included in Xi Data Transmission Exclusive Plans and FOMA Data Transmission Exclusive Plans do not apply. Furthermore, discount services such as Mail Tsukai-hodai, Pake-hodai double, and FOMA Flat-Rate Data Plan do not apply to communications charges for this Service.
• Communications charges for this Service are not included in the cumulative monthly charges subject to the WORLD WING monthly limit for service suspension or WORLD CALL monthly limit on communications charges.
• If you are subscribed to Charge Notice Service, you will be notified when the approximate amount for the total of the communications charges for this Service, WORLD CALL dialing and communications charges, domestic dialing and communications charges, etc. exceeds the amount you set in advance.
• You can send characters that can be displayed on FOMA service or Xi service mobile phones. However, sent characters may not be displayed properly depending on the operator communications service and mobile phone functions of the other party.
• This Service may be available even outside the service area. Applicable communications charges will also be incurred in such cases.
• On some handset models, if the main text of an International SMS sent from a user of an overseas operator exceeds 70 full-size or 160 half-sized alphanumeric characters, the message may be divided into multiple International SMS messages when received or characters may be corrupted, and the message may not be received properly.
• You may be unable to exchange International SMS messages with some overseas operators if you switched to DOCOMO from another mobile phone company with Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
• Settings can be configured to reject International SMS with the Reject All SMS and Reject International SMS functions.
• With Reject International SMS, you can reject international SMS from users of overseas operators. This will not apply to SMS messages from DOCOMO users who are using international roaming.
• Even if you send a message to a nonexistent mobile phone number, communications charges may still apply.
• Communications charges are incurred when you send International SMS messages. (Communications charges do not apply for receiving International SMS messages.) Communications charges may be incurred even if an International SMS message could not be delivered due to an error in the transmission method, etc.
• Even if an International SMS message that you sent is not delivered to the recipient due to reasons attributable to the overseas communications operator, communications charges will be incurred.
• When using the WORLD WING service at your travel destination, you may not be able to send or receive International SMS depending on the network of the operator at your destination.
• The SMS Delivery Notification function may be available with this Service depending on overseas communications conditions and other factors, but depending on the operator receiving your SMS messages, you may receive the SMS Delivery Notification even before your message is delivered to the other party's handset. Charges will not apply to use the SMS Delivery Notification function.
• You may also be able to use International SMS to exchange messages with users of operators other than those indicated Sending text messages (International SMS). Communications charges will also be incurred in such cases.
• DOCOMO reserves the right to make changes to the above notes on use as necessary. When a change is made, details of the change will be notified through means such as the DOCOMO website.

• NTT DOCOMO (hereinafter referred to as "DOCOMO") provides the "International MMS" Multimedia Messaging Service (hereinafter referred to as "this Service") based on "FOMA service contract stipulations (in Japanese only)" and "packet communications service contract stipulations (in Japanese only)" (hereinafter referred to collectively as "contract stipulations"). Before using International MMS, please be sure to acknowledge and consent to the FOMA service contract stipulations, the latest "i-mode usage regulations (in Japanese only)", and the notes below.
  Application is not required to use this Service.
• Communications allowances included in FOMA service billing plans and Packet Packs apply to International MMS communications charges and packet communications charges for this Service. However, communications allowances included in FOMA Data Transmission Exclusive Plans do not apply. Furthermore, discount services such as Mail Tsukai-hodai and Pake-hodai double, and FOMA Flat-Rate Data Plan do not apply to International MMS communications charges. Mail Tsukai-hodai will apply to packet communications.
• Communications charges do not apply when receiving mail using this Service. However, packet communications charges for receiving will apply in the following cases.

  When receiving while overseas.

  When performing Web operations while viewing the "Mail Preview Site" or "Retrieve selected mail". (However, packet communications charges for downloading mail are free of charge.)

  When receiving did not complete successfully.

• Packet communications charges when using this Service overseas apply according to the billing system of the operator at your travel destination.
• Communications charges for this Service are not included in the cumulative monthly charges subject to the WORLD WING monthly limit for service suspension or WORLD CALL monthly limit on communications charges.
• If you are subscribed to Charge Notice Service, you will be notified when the approximate amount for the total of the communications charges for this Service, WORLD CALL dialing and communications charges, domestic dialing and communications charges, etc. exceeds the amount you set in advance.
• Separate subscription to i-mode is required to use this Service. This Service can only be used by handsets supporting i-mode mail.
• You can send characters that can be displayed on FOMA service mobile phones. However, sent characters may not be displayed properly depending on the operator communications service and mobile phone functions of the receiver.
• International MMS messages sent by users of overseas operators, in which the content exceeds 10,000 half-size characters, cannot be received. On some mobile phone models, messages will be divided into multiple International MMS messages when received, but the message may not be received properly (for example, characters may be corrupted).
• There may be cases where messages cannot be exchanged or displayed properly depending on the functions of the other party's phone or the network conditions of the other party, or due to an error in the transmission method, etc. Please be aware that International MMS communications charges and packet communications charges may still apply in these cases.
  Packet communications charges will be incurred based on the data volume of mail before it is compressed or deleted.
• If the sending is not completed due to the network conditions of the other party and you receive an error message, International MMS sending charges will not be incurred. However, packet communications charges will still apply.
• If you send a message to more than one address at the same time, International MMS sending charges will be incurred according to the number of addresses to which you send it.
• If you send broadcast mail to a combination of both mail addresses and phone numbers as recipients, the message will be sent as i-mode mail to the mail addresses and as International MMS to the phone numbers. In broadcast mail messages sent as i-mode mail, only recipients with mail addresses will be displayed, and in those sent as International MMS, only recipients with phone numbers will be displayed.
• You may be unable to exchange International MMS with some overseas operators if you switched to DOCOMO from another mobile phone company with Mobile Number Portability (MNP).
• Settings can be configured to reject International MMS with the Reject International MMS function.
• You may not be able to receive International MMS if you use the Reject All SMS or Reject International SMS function.
• You may also be able to exchange International MMS with users of operators other than those indicated Send mail with attached images etc. (International MMS). International MMS communications charges and packet communications charges for the International MMS usage will also be incurred in such cases.
