| Coastal areas where use is generally possible as of March 31, 2008 | |
Service may be unavailable in some locations with poor reception, even inside the service area.
FOMA phones use radio communications and cannot be used in tunnels, underground areas, buildings, etc. without reception; in outdoor locations with weak reception; or outside the service area.
Service may be unavailable even on the unobstructed upper floors of some high-rise buildings and apartments.
Please be aware that calls or communications may be disconnected even under optimal conditions when reception is strong and all three antenna marks are displayed, and when in a stationary position.
Connection may be difficult due to line congestion on New Year’s Day, at times of disaster, and at events such as fireworks festivals.
Please be aware that for areas scheduled for expansion, the service start times and applicable regions, etc. may change.
Service areas shown on this area map as of March 31, 2008 are based on data prior to this date, and therefore service applicable regions may have changed.
The map displayed is updated about once a year. If you cannot find the applicable address and the name of your city, town, or village has changed due to consolidation, please search under the old name or specify the location on the map.
In some Japanese coastal regions and offshore locations (such as Tsushima), etc., the phone may switch to overseas roaming status and international roaming charges may be incurred.
