You earn more docomo Points the higher your membership stage. A convenient and economical membership service that allows, for example, accumulated docomo Points to be used to make payments of DOCOMO product purchase charges and exchanged for fabulous products.
Plus, the docomo Premier Club offers plenty of other membership benefits including complimentary services available only to members, and services that provide peace of mind when the unexpected happens.
docomo Premier Club membership stages
docomo Premier Club consists of two point systems.
Stage points (SP)
Stages are determined based on SPs. SPs are accumulated according to mobile phone usage charges (¥100 [excl. tax] is calculated as 1 SP) for January to December of the previous year.
docomo Points
docomo Points are accumulated according to the stage. The higher the stage the more docomo Points you accumulate. docomo Points can be used to make payments of DOCOMO product purchase charges and exchanged for fabulous products.
The stage for April to March the following year is determined according to the total number of SPs accumulated over one year and the length of DOCOMO use.
If you clear each of the conditions for determination of a stage, that stage is applied from the next program year.
New DOCOMO subscribers
Receive a gift of 1,000 points each time you exceed the conditions for determining a stage (1,000 SPs/1,500 SPs/2,500 SPs) during the period from the month of new subscription to December of the same year.
1 Your stage for the following year is determined based on the length of use and the SPs you have earned according to your mobile phone usage charges.- 2 Continuous length of DOCOMO use as of the end of March of the previous year. Length of use is calculated with the month following a new subscription as the first month. However, if the subscription is made on the first day of the month, that month will be the first month. Note that if the subscription is suspended, the period of suspension will not be counted in the length of use.
- 3 SPs earned are based on DOCOMO mobile phone usage charges incurred between January and December of the previous year (¥100 [excluding tax] = 1 SP).
- 4 Points are calculated based on basic monthly charges, dialing charges, communications charges, optional service usage charges, and universal service charges after various discounts have been applied. (However, the basic monthly charges and communications charges for Otayori Photo Plan, Otayori Photo Plan Full, DriveNet Plan, and DriveNet Plan Full included in the usage charges of the FOMA service are excluded from the calculation.) Points do not accrue for various handling fees, telegram charges, content usage charges/i-mode information charges, collect call dialing charges, handset purchase charges, installment payments for mobile phone purchased with Value Course, payments with docomo Mobile Payment (excluding some)/DCMX mini, docomo Keitai Soukin (docomo Mobile Remittance) usage charges (remittance payments and usage charges), subscriber's expenses for using Mobile Phone Protection & Delivery Service, consumption tax, etc.
- 5 Stages will be determined in the customer's favor, based on either usage period or usage charges.
- Points will not be earned for charges incurred for use during a month in which your subscription is cancelled.
- Points become invalid upon cancellation of your subscription with DOCOMO.
- Points are non-transferable.
- Points are inherited if transferring subscription for phone line.
Determining your stage
Stages are determined according to the usage charges or usage period.
Example: Assuming ¥7,000 (¥7,350 incl. tax) in monthly usage charges and ten-year length of use
- SPs for 1 month: ¥7,000 (¥7,350 incl. tax) → 70 SPs
- Total SPs over 1 year: 70 SPs + 70 SPs + ... + 70 SPs = 840 SPs
- Continuous length of DOCOMO use as of the end of March 2010: 10 years
- Premier Stage the following year as continuous length of DOCOMO use has been ten or more years.

Expiration of points
One program year is from April to the end of March the following year. The expiration date of docomo Points earned during one program year will be the end of May, three years and two months after the end of the program year in which they were earned, and the points are valid for up to 50 months.
- One program year is to the end of March even if you apply part way through a program year.
- Points are acquired the month after the month of usage, so the points for the amount of usage charges for March are acquired in the following program year (April).
In the event that something unexpected should happen, Premier Club allows you to receive services that provide piece of mind even if the length of use is long.
