When you purchase a mobile phone with Basic Course

If you store the phone number for your FOMA service subscription before completing the promised period of use after purchasing a mobile phone with Basic Course, you will be required to pay a Basic Course cancellation charge. That charge will apply for the number of months remaining in the promised period of use, and the charge will be ¥630 multiplied by the number of months remaining.

When you purchase a mobile phone with Device Purchase Support

If you store the phone number for your FOMA service subscription before completing the promised period of use after purchasing an applicable mobile phone with Device Purchase Support, you will be required to pay a Device Purchase Support cancellation charge. That charge will apply for the number of months remaining in the promised period of use.

When you have outstanding installment payments

If you store the phone number, you will still be required to pay the installment payments.

Universal service system

You will be billed a universal service charge each month based on the number of phone numbers you use.

• The period for Phone Number Storage and Mail Address Storage is 3 years from the 1st of the month following the month of application. After the 3-year period for Phone Number Storage expires, your FOMA/Xi "crossy" subscription will be cancelled on the 1st of the month following the month the period expired. You will receive notification of the expiration date of the period for Phone Number Storage and Mail Address Storage in your bill and by other means before the period for Phone Number Storage expires.
• If you wish to store your mail address, you need to apply for Mail Address Storage at the same time as applying for Phone Number Storage. It is not possible to only apply for Mail Address Storage.
• Mail Address Storage can be cancelled during use of Phone Number Storage. However, in this case, you will not be able to reuse the mail address you used at the time of application for Mail Address Storage even if you apply to resume i-mode or sp-mode when you cancel Phone Number Storage.
• FOMA fixed period subscription type discount services such as Fami-wari MAX50 will be cancelled and the fixed period will be cancelled for Xi fixed period subscription type billing plans such as Type Xi Plan Ninen if you apply for Phone Number Storage, but the cancellation charge will be suspended. However, the cancellation charge will be required within the period up until the subscription expiration month of the corresponding discount service if you cancel the subscription line2 or cancel Phone Number Storage and do not at the same time make a new subscription for any one of the FOMA fixed period subscription type discount services/Xi fixed period subscription type billing plans for 2 years when the cancellation charge of a FOMA fixed period subscription type discount service/Xi fixed period subscription type billing plan for 2 years is suspended or for any one of the FOMA fixed period subscription type discount services/Xi fixed period subscription type billing plans for 1 year when the cancellation charge of a FOMA fixed period subscription type discount service/Xi fixed period subscription type billing plan for 1 year is suspended3.
  • 2 A cancellation charge is required when cancelling a line for which an application has been made for Phone Number Storage.
  • 3 A cancellation charge is required when cancelling Phone Number Storage.
• Yu Yu Call, Business Call Discount, Business Call-hodai, and Xi Kake-hodai are applied up until the month of the application for Phone Number Storage, so you will be billed one month's flat-rate monthly charge.
• Flat-rate charges for Xi Pake-hodai Flat, Pake-hodai FLAT, Pake-hodai, Pake-hodai full, etc. will not be calculated on a per-diem basis, so you will be billed one month's flat-rate monthly charge.
• The discount for Family Discount, Office Discount, or Business Discount is not applicable during use of Phone Number Storage but the discount is counted for the number of lines within the discount group.
  [When subscribed to the single billing service]
  The phone number will not be removed from the single billing group even during use of Phone Number Storage. However, if you apply to use Phone Number Storage with the representative phone number of a single billing group in which the number of subscription lines in the group is two or more, the representative phone number needs to be changed or the single billing group needs to be cancelled in advance. In this case, you will need to apply to select the payment method (automatic account transfer or credit card) for the monthly usage charges again so confirm the situation in advance.

• DCMX and DCMX GOLD can only be used with a credit card during use of Phone Number Storage. (As a rule, use with an "Osaifu-Keitai" phone becomes no longer possible.) However, DCMX (iD) may be able to be used if the iD card information in the handset is not deleted, so delete the card information from the handset before applying for Phone Number Storage.
  
  • If the iD card information is not deleted, a full format of the IC card in the handset will be required. Perform the procedure at a docomo Shop.
  • Please note that the subscriber will be required to pay DCMX usage charges if the iD card information is not deleted and DCMX (iD) is used.
• Mobile Phone Protection & Delivery Service will be cancelled if you apply for Phone Number Storage. Furthermore, if 14 days have elapsed since purchasing a mobile phone that is applicable for compensation with Mobile Phone Protection & Delivery Service, you will not be able to re-subscribe or newly subscribe to the same service with that mobile phone. Even if you reapply with the same line, the number of times that you have received compensation will not be reset.
• If a minor who is using Mail Address Storage wishes to change the settings (reduce or remove restrictions) of Access Restriction Service when cancelling Phone Number Storage, the consent of a legal parent or guardian and documents to verify that the person is a legal parent or guardian are required (a notice stating that the filtering service is not necessary [] is also required if the user is under 18).
• With regards to a billing plan with a limit function and an i-mode information charge limit, the limit course applied for before using Phone Number Storage is carried over as is when you cancel Phone Number Storage. If a minor wishes to change the setting (increase the amount of or discontinue the limit options) when cancelling Phone Number Storage, the consent of a legal parent or guardian and documents to verify that the person is a legal parent or guardian are required just as when changing from a billing plan with a limit function to another billing plan.
• While your phone number is stored, voice guidance can be used to notify callers of a desired number, with the exception of some numbers such as toll-free numbers and overseas numbers. If you wish to use this service, call docomo Information Center at 0120-005-250, available between 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. (open all year round), or apply at your nearest docomo Shop.
• Store the docomo UIM Card you are currently using in a safe place because it can be used again when you cancel Phone Number Storage. If the card is lost, etc., it will need to be reissued and a handling fee of ¥2,100 will be required.
