Network PIN
What's the Network PIN?
The PIN that is required to verify subscriber identity when, for example, orders are received or the settings for optional services are changed at a docomo Shop or from the docomo Information Center or
(Various applications/procedures). Please be sure to safeguard your network PIN.
Network PIN setting at the time of purchase
Your network PIN is a four-digit number you enter on the subscription contract. You can change your network PIN to a different four-digit number of your choice.
If You Forget Your Network PIN
Inquire at the docomo Information Center (151 from a mobile phone or 0120-005-250 from a landline phone) or visit a docomo Shop with documents such as a Japanese driver's license that verify your identity.
Please note that the docomo Shop may not be able to process your request in the following case.
- The shop cannot verify your identity.
When to Enter Your Network PIN
You are required to enter your network PIN when using the following services that require security.
- Voice Mail Service remote operations
- Call Forwarding Service remote operations
- mopera U/mopera and e-billing
- Remote operations to suspend or reactivate service if your mobile phone is lost or stolen
- Charge Notice Service
- My docomo (in Japanese only)
- Phone Purchase Confirmation Site (in Japanese only)
- Caller ID Notification Service settings (FOMA)
- Dual Network Service changes (FOMA)
- WORLD WING (mova)
- docomo Keitai Soukin (in Japanese only)
Preventing unauthorized use with Remote Access Lock
Remote Access Lock helps prevent unauthorized access when other phones attempt to remotely access your Voice Mail Service or other services. The function automatically deactivates remote access if the Network PIN is entered incorrectly more than a predetermined number of times.
- If the network PIN is entered incorrectly three times in a row → The phone is disconnected from the center.
Remote Access is not disabled at this stage.
- If the network PIN is entered incorrectly four times in a row → The phone is disconnected from the center, and the remote access function is disabled.
How to disable Remote Access Lock
Either activate the remote access function from the mobile phone currently being used, or carry out the procedure to change your network PIN.
How to activate the remote access function
- 1. Press [1][5][9]
- 2. Press the "lift receiver" button
- 3. Press [1]
- 4. Press the "put down receiver" button
