What to Bring When You Submit Your Handset for Repairs

What you should bring

  • Broken or damaged handset
  • Warranty cardnotice1
  • Power peripherals (AC adapter, desktop holdernotice2, etc.), as these are sometimes required
  • If charges apply for repairs, you will need money to pay for your handset to be repaired.notice3
  • Information such as your mobile phone telephone number and the name and address of the subscriber will be checked at the repair counter.

Corporate subscribers and when a representative visits the shop

Please bring the following three items in addition to those in "What you should bring" above.

  • Documents verifying the subscriber’s identity
  • Documents to verify the identity of representative
  • Letter of Attorney with subscriber’s signature or seal (DOCOMO may confirm authorization by calling the subscriber instead.)

Preparation before submitting your handset for repairs

We recommend backing up or transferring your Phonebook and other data before submitting your handset for repairs.

  • notice1 You must bring your warranty card. Charges will apply even within the warranty period if you cannot produce the warranty card.
  • notice2 Desktop holders cannot be repaired.
  • notice3 If the DOCOMO UIM Card (FOMA Card) needs to be reissued, a handling free of ¥3.150 will be charged.
