Replacement Handset

Borrowing a replacement handset

You can borrow a replacement handset while your handset is being repaired, etc.

  • Your current phone number can be used with the replacement handset.
  • A particular model cannot be specified.
  • If the replacement handset is broken or damaged as a result of mishandling or water exposure, or stolen or lost, a fee will apply to cover any cost incurred.
  • Please come to pick up your handset within 30 days of being notified that repairs, etc. are finished.
    • noticeIf for personal reasons it is likely that more than 30 days will elapse, please contact the docomo Shop, from which you borrowed the handset, in advance.
    • noticeIf more than 30 days elapses and no notification is received regardless of any of the above, you will be charged a fee to cover any cost incurred.

Using another handset that you own as a replacement handset

If you have another handset that you are not currently using, you can use that as a replacement handset.

  • Please note that a handset may not be able to be used as a replacement handset if any part of it is broken or if it is for a different type of service.
  • If you are a Premier Club member, use of the Receive Anywhere Service for Repaired Mobile Phone enables you to pick up your repaired product (FOMA) at any desired docomo Shop or other desired location (within Japan only).
