Details of improvements

This update fixes the following issue:

  • The voice of the party you are talking to will echo back to that person when you talk with an earphone/microphone.
  • If a certain operation is performed in the mail address list, the handset may restart.
  • Even if the area display setting of OFFICEEDnotice1 is set to ON, the setting may be reset to OFF.
  • notice1 OFFICEED is a corporate service that enables calls between FOMA handsets on the premises of customers who have introduced the In-building Mobile Communication System (IMCS) within their buildings.
  • noticeIn addition to solving the issue above, updates also includes other enhancements to make better use of your mobile phone.
  • noticeAll issues to date will be fixed by performing the latest software update.

How to Update your Software

New software is automatically downloaded and overwrites the existing software at a preset time (default time is 3 a.m.).
Updates can also be made as desired by performing the operation below and following the instructions on the screen.
In standby, display "Menu" and select "Settings" → "Other settings" → "Software update".

Notes

  • Please make sure that the mobile phone battery is fully charged when performing software updates.
  • Also note that you should never remove the battery pack while updating software, as it will cause the phone to malfunction.
  • Software cannot be updated in the following cases:
    • noticeWhen the phone’s time and date are not set
    • noticeDuring calls
    • noticeDuring communications, etc.
  • Other functions are not available while software is being updated, though voice calls can be answered while downloading.
