This update fixes the following issues:

• If mail is received immediately after starting the Simple Connection (WPS) setup for a wireless LAN, "Scanning..." may remain displayed and the handset may become inoperable for a few minutes.
• Improved the quality of communications to make using HOMEU a more pleasurable experience.

• In addition to solving the issue above, updates also includes other enhancements to make better use of your mobile phone.
• All issues to date will be fixed by performing the latest software update.

New software is automatically downloaded and overwrites the existing software at a preset time (default time is 3 a.m.).
Updates can also be made as desired by performing the operation below and following the instructions on the screen.
In standby, press the "MENU" button then select "Settings" → "Other settings" → "Software Update".

• Please make sure that the mobile phone battery is fully charged when performing software updates. Otherwise, the update may not be successful.
• Also note that you should never remove the battery pack while updating software, as it will cause the phone to malfunction.
• Software cannot be updated in the following cases:
  • When the phone’s time and date are not set
  • During calls
  • During communications, etc.
• Other functions are not available while software is being updated, though voice calls can be answered while downloading.
