How to update your product
The update file is delivered automatically from Google's server. It is downloaded automatically and other operations can also be performed during downloading. When the download is complete, a popup is displayed to prompt you to install the update.
Checking the software version
Check the baseband version of your device (tablet) and update the software if it is not the latest version.

- Update the software at your own risk.
- Read the update procedure carefully before you perform the software update.
- The software can be updated while keeping the data intact but be sure to back up any important data beforehand just in case there is a problem. For details on how to perform a backup, see the user's manual.
- Please note that the previous version cannot be restored once the software update has been performed.
- The applications you have installed yourself may no longer be able to be used if you update the software.
- Perform the update with a sufficient amount of battery power remaining (fully charged).
- Software cannot be updated in the following cases:
- Outside the service area
- During international roaming (However, it will be updated even during international roaming when your device is connected to a wireless LAN.)
- When there is insufficient battery power for the software update
- Updating (downloading and rewriting) software may take time.
- Other functions are not available while the software is being updated.
- It is recommended to update software in a location with a strong signal while keeping the device stationary.
If the signal strength becomes weak and downloading of the software is interrupted, try updating the software again in a location with a good signal.
- If the software update fails, the device may become inoperable. If this happens, visit a repair counter designated by DOCOMO.
About packet communications charges
- If you update the software via packet communications when using 3G (FOMA) communications, packet communications charges will be incurred when the update file is downloaded. (If the Pake-hodai limit is reached, the number of packets will be included in the calculation but an extra charge will not be incurred.)
- If you update the software with the device alone via a Wi-Fi connection, packet communications charges will not be incurred.
- If you update the software via a Wi-Fi connection and the communications signal of the Wi-Fi connection is unstable, communications will be automatically switched to 3G (FOMA) communications.
The update period may be extended without notice.
