Issues fixed
- When the mobile phone and G-SHOCK are connected via a Bluetooth® connection, G-SHOCK may not play the notification sound even if a call is received.
- If a microSDXC card is inserted, the data in the card may become corrupted.
In addition to solving the issues above, the update also includes other enhancements to make better use of your mobile phone and some specification and display changes.
Notes
- A microSDXC card cannot be used even if you install this software update.
How to update your product
New software is automatically downloaded and overwrites the existing software at a preset time (default time is between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m.).
Updates can also be made as desired by performing the operation below and following the instructions on the screen.
In standby, display "Menu" and select "Settings" → "About phone" → "Software Update".
Checking the software version
Check the build number of your mobile phone (handset) and update the software if it is not the latest version.

- Do not remove the battery pack while updating the software. The software may fail to update.
- Recharge the battery before updating the software.
- Software cannot be updated in the following cases:
- During a call/outside the service area
- During international roaming
- In airplane mode
- While connected to a Wi-Fi network
- While updating the OS version
- When the date and time are set incorrectly
- When there is insufficient battery power for the software update
- When there is insufficient free space for the software update
- Updating (downloading and rewriting) software may take time.
- It is not possible to make and receive calls and use various call and other functions while the software is being updated (incoming calls can be received during downloading).
- It is recommended to update software in a location with a strong signal (four bars for the antenna icon) while keeping the phone stationary.
If the signal strength becomes weak and downloading of the software is interrupted, try updating the software again in a location with a good signal.
- If the software has already been updated, the "No update is needed." message appears when a check for software updates is made.
- Any SMS messages sent to you during the software update are stored at the SMS center.
- When the software is updated, information unique to your MEDIAS LTE N-04D (model, serial number, etc.) is automatically sent to the server (software update server administered by DOCOMO). DOCOMO does not use the sent information for any purpose other than the software update.
- If the software update fails, the
(Rewrite failed) message appears and no further operation may be possible. If this happens, visit a repair counter designated by DOCOMO. - When a PIN code is set, the PIN code entry screen appears during the restart after rewriting and you are required to enter your PIN code.
- While updating the software, do not activate other applications.
The update period may be extended without notice.
