This is a 5G dedicated billing plan. If you own a router or second smartphone, we recommend 5G Data Plus, to share the available data of your paired DOCOMO's Giga plan with the device.*1

  • DOCOMO's Giga plan is a generic term for 5G Gigaho Premier, 5G Gigaho, 5G Gigalight, Gigaho Premier, Gigaho and Gigalight.
  1. You can only apply if you are subscribed to DOCOMO's Giga plan under the same subscriber name. You cannot subscribe to 5G Data Plus alone.

Paired Billing Plan

You are required to have a subscription under the same subscription name to DOCOMO's Giga plan to use 5G Data Plus.
You can apply for one 5G Data Plus subscription per DOCOMO's Giga plan line. You cannot subscribe to 5G Data Plus alone*4.
You also need to configure your devices to specify the lines you wish to pair.

  • DOCOMO's Giga plan is a generic term for 5G Gigaho Premier, 5G Gigaho, 5G Gigalight, Gigaho Premier, Gigaho and Gigalight.
  1. If you no longer meet the requirements, 5G Data Plus may be changed to 5G Gigalight.

About Available Data Amount

The data amount used on the 5G Data Plus subscription will pull data amount from your paired DOCOMO's Giga plan subscription. (Even during the month that the billing plan was changed for the paired parent line, the line of the 5G Data Plus subscription uses the available data amount of the paired parent line.)
If the paired line is 5G Gigaho Premier or 5G Gigaho, the data limit is 30 GB.

If the limit for the month is surpassed, the data rate for 5G Data Plus until the end of the month will depend on the billing plan for the paired line.

  • 5G Gigaho Premier: Max. 1 Mbps for sending and receiving
  • 5G Gigaho: Max. 3 Mbps for sending and receiving
  • 5G Gigalight: Max. 128 Kbps for sending and receiving
  • Gigaho Premier: Max. 1 Mbps for sending and receiving
  • Gigaho: Max. 1 Mbps for sending and receiving
  • Gigalight: Max. 128 Kbps for sending and receiving

  • All indicated amounts include tax.
  1. Lines subscribed to billing plans that allow voice calls (excluding 2in1, Kids Keitai Plus, Kids Keitai Plan) within the same Family Discount group are counted, and the discount from the monthly charge for 5G Gigaho will be offered with Minna DOCOMO Wari.
  2. You need to subscribe to docomo Hikari within the same Family Discount group. Discount conditions are different if you are subscribed only to docomo Hikari Mini within the same Family Discount group.
  3. This is applicable to customers who select d CARD/d CARD GOLD (including Family CARD) (or the main line for a single billing group) as the payment method at the end of each usage month.
  4. For 5G Data Plus, if the paired line is 5G Gigaho Premier, the data limit is 30 GB. When you are using Packet Pack Kaigai Option, if the data usage amount combined with 5G Data Plus surpasses 30 GB, your maximum data rate until the end of the month under 5G Gigaho Premier will be 1 Mbps for sending or receiving.

How to Apply

To use 5G Data Plus, a 5G compatible model is required. If you purchase a 5G compatible model at the time of application, or DOCOMO verifies that you are using an applicable model, you can apply for this billing plan.

Reserve/Purchase from docomo Online Shop

You can purchase a 5G compatible model from docomo Online shop.

  • The securing of a product is according to the reservation order while we accept the designation of the delivery date with a turn of the purchase procedure completion.
  • The orders through docomo Online Shop made by minors can not be accepted. Please note that even orders are made, we can not take the orders.
  • Please note that until the arrival of the product (if docomo UIM card is issued, until the start of use), the next product cannot be purchased.

If you are already subscribed to 5G service

If DOCOMO confirms that you are already using a docomo 5G compatible model and that you are subscribed to 5G service, you can change the plan from Applying Online.

You can apply at a docomo Shop near your current location. Business hours differ depending on the shop. Please see the page of the corresponding shop for details.

You are required to make a Shop Appointment (in Japanese only) to perform procedures at a docomo Shop. If you visit a shop without an appointment, you may be asked to return with an appointment for another day.

  • About billing plan in general

    Open

    • For 5G Gigaho Premier, 5G Gigaho, 5G Gigalight, or 5G Data Plus (hereinafter collectively referred to as Billing Plan (5G Gigaho, etc.)), a 5G compatible model is required. If you purchase a 5G compatible model at the time of application for Billing Plan (5G Gigaho, etc.), or DOCOMO verifies that you are using an applicable model, you can apply for this billing plan.
    • Various discounts such as Monthly Support, Device Purchase Support, docomo with, docomo Student Discount for which new applications are no longer accepted as of May 31, 2019, e-billing Discount, and U25 Ouen Discount do not apply to Billing Plans (5G Gigaho, etc.). When changing plans to Billing Plans (5G Gigaho, etc.) for a line for which a discount has already been applied, the discount will be terminated. (If you change to Billing Plans [5G Gigaho, etc.] during the cancellation fee period for Device Purchase Support, you will be required to pay the preset cancellation fee.)
    • Billing Plans (5G Gigaho, etc.) are billing plans that require a subscription to sp-mode. The monthly charge (¥330 [incl. tax]/month) for sp-mode is included in Billing Plans.
    • The monthly charges for billing plans and Voice Option will not be calculated on a per diem basis, regardless of the days of use. However, the monthly charge of the month of your application will be calculated with a per diem basis only if you apply for the service at the time of a new subscription application (including MNP). (Even if you apply for the service at the time of a new subscription application [including MNP], if you change/cancel/terminate your subscription during the same month [excluding changes/termination at an end of month appointment], the per diem basis will not be applied.) When a per diem basis is applied, 5G Gigalight will be calculated on a per diem basis according to the step of the new contract (including MNP) month.
    • With regards to billing statement usage charges, if the Billing Plan (5G Gigaho, etc.) subscriber (or the representative subscriber of the Billing Plan [5G Gigaho, etc.] if subscribed to a single billing service) would like the statement by post, you will be charged an issuance charge of ¥110 (incl. tax) per bill for those paying by automatic bank transfer or credit card, or ¥165 (incl. tax) per bill for those paying by bill. (Excludes customers who are not responsible for the issuance charge of their bill, etc.)
    • Customers subscribed to a Billing Plan (5G Gigaho, etc.) can apply for and use the docomo Wi-Fi ISP option for free under the Free docomo Wi-Fi Campaign. The Wi-Fi service period will continue for the duration of the campaign. The end of the service period has not yet been determined. It will be announced on our website at least one month in advance of the end date. (For customers with a subscription under the name of a corporation, the application and service periods will end on December 31, 2021.)
      We will terminate docomo Wi-Fi on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. You can continue using the free Wi-Fi service by applying for d Wi-Fi, a d POINT CLUB members' only service. For customers enrolled in the membership program for business, we will launch a new free Wi-Fi service by May 2021 (scheduled). For details, refer to d Wi-Fi.
    • Domestic calling charges cost ¥22 (incl. tax) every 30 seconds.
    • During international roaming, the SMS sending charge is ¥100 per message, and SMS sending charges for the ship/airplane roaming services are ¥170 per message. SMS messages can contain up to 70 characters in all cases.
      • Consumption tax is not added.
    • For customers who are subscribed to Billing Plan (5G Gigaho, etc.), if the data usage amount of Packet Pack Kaigai Option for the current month surpasses 30 GB, the data rate for Packet Pack Kaigai Option will be limited until the end of the month, regardless of the remaining available data amount. For 5G Data Plus, Data Plus, or Data Plus (Applied through September 30, 2019) (in Japanese only) subscribers, if the data usage amount combined with Packet Pack Kaigai Option of the paired line (5G Gigaho Premier, 5G Gigaho, 5G Gigalight) surpasses 30 GB, the data rate for Packet Pack Kaigai Option will be limited for the paired line and 5G Data Plus, Data Plus, Data Plus (Applied through September 30, 2019) until the end of the month.
    • Communications charges to satellite ships cost ¥55 (incl. tax) every 30 seconds.
    • If you are subscribed to Family Discount or Business Call Discount, domestic calls to members of the Family Discount or Business Call Discount group are free under the Billing Plans (5G Gigaho, etc.) (excluding 5G Data Plus).
    • If you are changing billing plans multiple times during the same month, a processing charge of ¥1,100 (incl. tax) will be applied from the third time you change.
    • Depending on network congestion, communication may be slow, or connection may be difficult. If your data usage is especially high within the last three days including the current day, your data rate may become slower than customers who have not used as much data. If you use a large amount of data during a certain period of time or during a single connection, you are connected for a long time, or you connect repeatedly during a certain amount of time, your communications may be interrupted.
    • If you are connected for a long time in a single voice call or use a large amount of data in a single connection, or you make a voice call or connect for data communications repeatedly during a certain period of time through a mechanical call, the voice call may be disconnected or the data communication rate may be limited if DOCOMO determines that the communications are affecting DOCOMO facilities.
    • A line involved in communications that may affect our facilities due to a large number of mechanical calls may be stopped for a certain period.
    • If DOCOMO determines that the facilities are affected by heavy data communications through specific content or a specific app, the data communication rate may be limited for the use of the content or app.
    • For details on the conditions for call/communication disconnection or data communication rate limit, see the DOCOMO website.
    • Renewal Loyalty Points are not rewarded for Billing Plan (5G Gigaho, etc.).
      If you switch to Billing Plan (5G Gigaho, etc.), you will lose the Renewal Loyalty Points that were granted before changing the plan.
    • If a customer who is subscribed to a billing plan with a fixed period subscription changes it to the above plan at any time other than the renewal period on or after Tuesday, October 1, 2019, and cancels it by the end of the month before the month of expiration of the fixed period subscription, a cancellation fee for the previous plan will be incurred. (If it is changed to a billing plan with a fixed period subscription, the new plan will take over the fixed period subscription term.)
    • ISP Set Discount does not apply to Billing Plans (5G Gigaho, etc.).
  • About 5G Data Plus

    • It is only possible to apply if you are subscribed to 5G Gigaho Premier, 5G Gigaho (in Japanese only), 5G Gigalight, Gigaho Premier, Gigaho (in Japanese only), Gigaho (Applied through September 30, 2019) (in Japanese only), Gigalight or Gigalight (Applied through September 30, 2019) (in Japanese only) under the same subscription name. You cannot subscribe to 5G Data Plus alone. If you no longer meet the requirements, your plan may be changed from 5G Data Plus to 5G Gigalight.
    • You can apply for one 5G Data Plus, Data Plus or Data Plus (Applied through September 30, 2019) (in Japanese only) subscription per paired 5G Gigaho Premier, 5G Gigaho, 5G Gigalight, Gigaho Premier, Gigaho, Gigaho (Applied through September 30, 2019), Gigalight or Gigalight (Applied through September 30, 2019) line.
    • When you subscribe to the billing plan, the paring setting to specify the paired line is required.
    • The data amount used on the 5G Data Plus subscription will pull data amount from your paired 5G Gigaho Premier, 5G Gigaho, 5G Gigalight, Gigaho Premier, Gigaho, Gigaho (Applied through September 30, 2019), Gigalight or Gigalight (Applied through September 30, 2019). (Even during the month that the billing plan was changed for the paired parent line, the line of the 5G Data Plus subscription uses the available data amount of the paired parent line.)
    • For the line of the 5G Data Plus subscription, if 5G Gigaho Premier or 5G Gigaho is the paired line subscription, the data limit is 30 GB (hereinafter referred to as 30 GB Limit Count).
    • After the data limit of 30 GB is surpassed, the maximum data rate for the line of the 5G Data Plus subscription for the current month will be limited to 1 Mbps for sending and receiving while it is paired with 5G Gigaho Premier, or 3 Mbps for sending and receiving while it is paired with 5G Gigaho, and the rate limit cannot be canceled in Speed Mode or with the Additional 1 GB Option.
    • Regarding the 30 GB Limit Count, if you change the subscription of the paired line to 5G Gigaho Premier or 5G, or change the billing plan within the same month, the period of the billing plan before the change is also counted.
