Ending of Discount before End of Discount Period

  • The applicable Monthly Support discount amount based on the model of purchase will be deducted from usage charges each month for a maximum of 24 months or a maximum 36 months with the month after the month of purchase counted as the first month. Please note, however, that even during the applicable discount period this discount will end if you do any of the following with regards to the Xi/FOMA/5G subscription to which the discount applies.
  • The discount period and amount applicable for Monthly Support differs depending on the model and when the purchase was made.
  1. In the following cases, the discount will end from the usage charges of the month following the month in which the event occurred. (A discount is applied until the end of the month in which the event occurred.)
    1. Purchase a new model. (Excludes immediate changes to plans not covered by Monthly Support at the time or within the same month of purchase of a new model)
    2. Terminate or make a reservation to terminate a Packet Pack, Share option, packet flat-rate service, or flat-rate data plan specified by DOCOMO or change or make a reservation to change to a Packet Pack, Share option, packet flat-rate service, or flat-rate data plan not specified by DOCOMO*2*3*4
    3. When you make a reservation to terminate a basic plan or a billing plan specified by DOCOMO or make a reservation to change to a basic plan or a billing plan not specified by DOCOMO (only when a Xi/home 5G/home denwa model released in or after September 2014 is purchased on or after Tuesday, September 1, 2015)
  2. The discount will end from the usage charges of the month in which the event occurred. (A discount is applied until the end of the month in which the event occurred.)
    Immediate changes to plans not covered by Monthly Support at the time or within the same month of purchase of a new model and if any of the following ④ to ⑧ occur without you purchasing a new model.
    1. Cancel your subscription line or store your phone number*1
    2. Use your subscription line for the B number of 2in1
    3. Terminate a Packet Pack, Share option, packet flat-rate service, or flat-rate data plan specified by DOCOMO or change to a Packet Pack, Share option, packet flat-rate service, or flat-rate data plan not specified by DOCOMO*2*3*4
    4. Change your subscription from FOMA to Xi/5G, from Xi to FOMA/5G, or 5G to Xi.
    5. When you terminate a basic plan or a billing plan specified by DOCOMO or change to a basic plan or a billing plan not specified by DOCOMO (only when a Xi/home 5G/home denwa model released in or after September 2014 is purchased on or after Tuesday, September 1, 2015)
  1. After the month of subscription, Monthly Support is not applied while Phone Number Storage is in effect. However, the discount will continue to be applied only if you subscribed to Phone Number Storage in or before September 2022 and if the conditions for the Monthly Support eligibility are met at the time of cancellation of Phone Number Storage.
  2. Includes when a subscriber who purchased a docomo Feature Phone (i-mode and sp-mode) with a FOMA billing plan does not subscribe to a Packet Pack or Share option when changing to a basic plan.
  3. Excludes Xi model docomo Feature Phone (sp-mode) that were purchased after November 1, 2018.
  4. Except if there is no specified Packet Pack, Share option, packet flat-rate service, or flat-rate data plan for the applicable model.
  • Please note that if you do any of ① to ⑧ above with a subscription line for which Monthly Support is applied as a result of purchasing a phone before Monday, March 31, 2014, the application of Monthly Support for usage charges will end in the month that the event occurred.
  • When you purchase a model at the docomo Online Shop, if the start date of a docomo UIM card is the month following the month of purchase, the current Monthly Support will be valid for usage in the following month (billed for the month after next).

About Monthly Support Set Discount

With regards to an applicable line for which all of the conditions (1) to (3) below are satisfied, the amount applicable for discount with Monthly Support Set Discount will be deducted in addition to the applicable discount amount for Monthly Support from the total amount of charges applicable for discount each month for a period of up to 24 months counting from the month of purchasing an applicable model.

  1. An applicable model compatible with the Xi service in the case of a Xi subscription or an applicable model compatible with the FOMA service only in the case of a FOMA subscription was purchased.
  2. The representative line and applicable line are in the same name.
  3. A subscription was made to either a packet flat-rate service*5 or flat-rate data plan*6 specified by DOCOMO when the applicable model was purchased.

  • To subscribe to Monthly Support Set Discount, you need to have at least one DOCOMO line subscription and then purchase a new applicable model and conclude a contract for a new line subscription or already have two DOCOMO line subscriptions and then change your model for any one of the lines to an applicable model.
  • The charges applicable for the discount of Monthly Support Set Discount are Xi/FOMA basic monthly charges, domestic call and communications charges, packet flat-rate charges, and optional service usage charges (except for some).
    Usage charges for services other than Xi or FOMA, installment payments, i-mode information charges/content usage charges, Smart Anshin Hoshou/Mobile Device Protection & Delivery Service monthly charge, international call and communications charges, charges for calls and communications made overseas (WORLD WING), universal service charges, and other charges are not applicable for the discount of Monthly Support Set Discount.
  • Monthly Support Set Discount is a service for a combination of a representative line specified by you (limited to a line with a billing plan that allows voice calls) and applicable line (specify a line for which an applicable model is used), and deducts the combined applicable discount amount for Monthly Support and applicable discount amount for Monthly Support Set Discount from the usage charges of the applicable line that are applicable for discount. One representative line cannot be combined with multiple applicable lines. Furthermore, you cannot change the representative line, or change the representative line to an applicable line or vice versa.

Notes on Monthly Support Set Discount

The period of duration of the Monthly Support Set Discount is up to 24 months counting from the month of purchasing an applicable model. Please note, however, that the discount for the charges applicable for discount provided by Monthly Support Set Discount will end and only the discount provided by Monthly Support will apply from the month that you do any of the following.

  1. Cancel your representative line or store the phone number for it
  2. Use your representative line for the B number of 2in1
  3. Change the billing plan for your representative line to one that does not allow voice calls
  4. Make a change that results in your representative line and applicable line no longer being in the same name

Furthermore, please note that the discounts of both Monthly Support and Monthly Support Set Discount will end from the month that you do any of the following.

  1. Change mobile phone models for the line registered as your applicable line
  2. Cancel your applicable line or store the phone number for it*7
  3. Use your applicable line for the B number of 2in1
  4. Terminate or make a reservation to terminate a Packet Pack, Share option, packet flat-rate service, or flat-rate data plan specified by DOCOMO or change or make a reservation to change to a Packet Pack, Share option, packet flat-rate service, or flat-rate data plan not specified by DOCOMO*8
  5. Change the subscription for the applicable line from FOMA to Xi or from Xi to FOMA
  1. After the month of subscription, Monthly Support and Monthly Support Discount are not applied while Phone Number Storage is in effect. However, the discount will continue to be applied only if you subscribed to Phone Number Storage in or before September 2022 and if the conditions for the Monthly Support or Monthly Support Discount eligibility are met at the time of cancellation of Phone Number Storage.
  2. Including one for which provision began after the acceptance of the application for Monthly Support Set Discount. For details, check the Monthly Support page.
  • If the total amount of the charges applicable for discount each month is less than the combined applicable discount amounts of Monthly Support Set Discount and Monthly Support, the total amount of the charges applicable for discount will be treated as the upper limit for discount regardless of those combined amounts (in this case, the difference between the combined applicable discount amounts of Monthly Support Set Discount and Monthly Support and the total amount of the charges applicable for discount will not be carried over to the following month).
  • The total amount resulting from combining the applicable discount amounts for Monthly Support and Monthly Support Set Discount is shown in your bill.
