How to Use Disaster Voice Messaging Service

To use this service from a smartphone, you need Disaster Kit. You can download it from dmenu or Google PlayTM.
(This application does not need to be installed if it comes preinstalled on your device.)

How to Send Messages

Step 1
[1] Select "Disaster Kit".
Step 2
[2] Select "Disaster Voice Messaging".
Step 3
[3] Select "Send".
Step 4
[4] Enter the phone number and select "OK".
Step 5
[5] Checking whether the service is available (please wait for a while).
Step 6
[6] Check the phone number and select "OK".
Step 7
[7] Select "Record".
Step 8
[8] Speak into the microphone.
After recording your message, select "Done".
  • If the recording time exceeds 30 seconds, the screen changes to the recording complete screen shown in [9] automatically.

[9] Select "Send".
Step 10
[10] Your message is being sent (please wait for a while).
Step 11
[11] Sending the message is complete.

How to Receive Messages

How to play a voice message from the incoming voice message screen

Step 1
[1] Select "Receive".
Step 2
[2] Select "PLAY".
Step 3
[3] Your message is being retrieved.
Step 4
[4] Start playback after the message is retrieved.

How to play a voice message from the voice message check screen

Step 1
[1] Select "Disaster Kit".
Step 2
[2] Select "Disaster Voice Messaging".
Step 3
[3] Select "Check".
Step 4
[4] Select "Received voice message".
Step 5
[5] Select "Receive" for the message that you wish to play.
Step 6
[6] Select "PLAY".
Step 7
[7] Your message is being retrieved.
Step 8
[8] Start playback after the message is retrieved.
