DOCOMO is working with diverse stakeholders, including 13 global vendors in the 5G Open RAN Ecosystem, to commercialize within fiscal 2022 a highly flexible and scalable 5G virtual base stations for open radio access networks. Also, a vRAN verification environment that DOCOMO launched in Japan in October 2021 is allowing overseas telecom carriers to perform verifications remotely and effortlessly.

By developing digital simulators to evaluate ultra-coverage, ultra-high-speed technologies, DOCOMO is driving the innovative pursuit of advanced 6G communications to open up all-new possibilities, far beyond those of 5G.

Advanced 5G Network Solutions

Changing communication coverage with you.

DOCOMO's innovative solutions for improved 5G coverage include wall- and ceiling-mounted reflectors that dynamically adjust the direction of highly linear and easily attenuated millimeter wavelengths (28 GHz), and the compact Carry 5G portable base station, which enables high-quality 5G cells to be established quickly and inexpensively for temporary purposes.

Remote Support with AR via Secure Global Network - AceReal® Global -

Changing remote-support provision with you.

This new augmented-reality solution will enable real-time support to be provided remotely from Japan to more than 200 countries via DOCOMO's international communication network, which is connected securely to 5G networks overseas to bypass the open Internet.
