NTT DoCoMo to Lower Rental Costs of International Roaming Handsets; DoCoMo Shops Nationwide to Accept Applications

TOKYO, JAPAN, October 26, 2005 --- NTT DoCoMo, Inc. and its eight regional subsidiaries announced today that from Thursday, December 1, 2005, they will lower rental charges for outbound international roaming handsets by up to one-half if applications are made via i-mode® or the Internet. Rental fees for 3G FOMA® WORLD WING® handsets will be reduced to 105 yen per day (including tax) from the current 210 yen, and those for 2G mova® WORLD WALKER-PLUS® to 210 yen from 315 yen.

At the same time, DoCoMo will begin allowing users to apply for and receive the handsets at DoCoMo Shops nationwide. For rentals through DoCoMo Shops, WORLD WING handsets will cost 210 yen per day and those for WORLD WALKER-PLUS 315 yen per day.

Note: Separate communications charges will apply.
