DOCOMO, China Mobile and KT Form Business Collaboration

TOKYO, JAPAN, January 19, 2011 --- NTT DOCOMO, INC. announced today that it established a broad-based business tie-up with China’s largest mobile operator, China Mobile Communications Corporation, and leading South Korean telecom operator KT Corporation on January 18.

Through the collaboration, DOCOMO aims to provide mobile customers with new experiences and greater convenience in the rapidly growing regional market of Northeast Asia, where increasing international cooperation is creating opportunities for new business development.

A business cooperation committee to be set up by the three companies will consider opportunities for collaboration, particularly in view of dramatic changes occurring in the mobile market, including the further globalization of corporate activities and the sharply rising popularity of smartphones. Specific areas to be looked at include international roaming, enterprise services, LTE and other network technologies, smartphones and common platforms.
