TOKYO, JAPAN, May 8, 2015 --- NTT DOCOMO, INC. and RENAISSANCE INC., Japan's leading fitness club operator, jointly announced today an agreement to combine DOCOMO's mobile healthcare platform and RENAISSANCE's network of fitness facilities to promote healthier living.

The agreement is DOCOMO's latest "+d" initiative to create added value through collaboration with business partners.

From this fall, DOCOMO plans to begin offering health management services to employees and individuals through enterprises, health-insurance cooperatives and local governments. Users will wear the movebandTM, a wristband-type device by docomo Healthcare, Inc. that records daily walking steps, sleep time and other vital data. The data will be stored in the cloud on docomo Healthcare's Watashi-moveTM healthcare platform, enabling RENAISSANCE's professional fitness instructors and nutritionists to perform analysis and then offer fitness plans and health consultation personalized to each user.

DOCOMO's Fit-LinkTM customer-management service for the fitness club industry will also be introduced at RENAISSANCE fitness facilities during the year. The service will enable highly health-conscious members to collect vital data while working out in gyms as well as during the rest of their daily lives.

In the other initiative, DOCOMO BIKESHARE, INC. will set up a shared-bicycle "parking port" at Sports Club & Spa RENAISSANCE Hiroshima Ball Park Town in Hiroshima Prefecture in June, and then gradually at other RENAISSANCE fitness facilities nationwide. DOCOMO is serving as a sponsor of bike-sharing programs in many communities throughout Japan.

Going forward, DOCOMO and RENAISSANCE aim to promote healthy, active lives by offering diverse mobile-supported healthcare solutions for individuals, companies and public-sector bodies.
