DoCoMo has cancelled the release of the FOMA OP2502 HIGH-SPEED data communications card that was scheduled for future release.

This product was developed as an ExpressCard type data communications card compatible with FOMA HIGH-SPEED (HSDPA) to provide high-speed data communications at up to 7.2 Mbps1. However, we have discovered that it could not be removed from the card slot of some laptop PCs, or might damage the slot when removed.
Work had been ongoing towards remedying that issue, but we have not received assurance that the product can be used on all PCs without trouble. The situation has thus forced the suspension of release.

High-speed data communications with a downlink data rate of up to 7.2 Mbps is possible, but the data rate may vary depending on the communications environment and network congestion.
