Notice of Temporary Suspension of docomo PRO series BlackBerry® BoldTM Sales


Thank you for using NTT DOCOMO products.

It has come to our attention that our docomo PRO series BlackBerry Bold mobile phones may overheat when charging. We have thus temporarily halted sales of those mobile phones from February 27, 2009.

We offer our sincere apologies for any troubles this may have caused.

An overview of this issue and our requests to subscribers are as follows. Please contact us at the inquiry number below if you are unclear about anything or have any other questions.

We will inform you at a later date of resumption of sales.

Mobile phones may overheat when charging.

  • The keyboard part of the device becomes hot.
  • No burns or fires as a result of this issue have been reported.

Details of the issue are under investigation.

This affects those using docomo PRO series BlackBerry Bold.

4. Request to users of docomo PRO series BlackBerry Bold

DOCOMO will be contacting affected subscribers directly concerning this issue. If you should experience overheating when charging your mobile phone, please discontinue use and charging, and contact DOCOMO at the phone number below.
