Changes to Revisions to docomo Premier Club/docomo Business Premier Club


Thank you for using NTT DOCOMO's services and products.

It was announced in June 2013 that the contents of the docomo Premier Club/docomo Business Premier Club member service for DOCOMO customers would be revised. However, based on the large number of requests received from long-term DOCOMO users regarding the conditions for the awarding of points, these revisions will be changed in part, and the service will now be revised as indicated below.

1. Changes to the Point Program
(for members of docomo Premier Club/docomo Business
Premier Club)

From April 1, 2014

From the points awarded in April 2014 (for usage in March 2014), the following changes will be made to the docomo Premier Club/docomo Business Premier Club point program.

How stages are determined

The stage from April through March the following year will be determined according to the period of continued DOCOMO use.

docomo Premier Club

(1)Gold Stage introduced (2)Change to unit amounts. From the billing amount of April, 2014, docomo Points will be awarded for each 1,000 yen (excl. tax) of usage. (3)Grand Premier Stage introduced (4)Earn extra points based on subscribed services (5)Changes to stage conditions. Annual usage amount conditions have been removed, with the stage now determined by period of continued DOCOMO use.

docomo Business Premier Club

  • notice1 The mobile phone usage charges for which points accrue are basic monthly charges, dialing charges, data communications charges, optional service usage charges, and universal service charges after various discounts have been applied. (However, the basic monthly charges and communications charges for FOMA Location Information Service/FOMA Ubiquitous Service included in the usage charges of the FOMA service are excluded from the calculation.) Points do not accrue for various handling fees, telegram charges, content usage charges/i-mode information charges, collect call dialing charges, device purchase charges, installment payments for devices purchased with Value Course, payments with docomo Mobile Payment (excluding some)/DCMX mini, docomo kouza usage charges (remittance payments and usage charges), consumption tax, subscriber's expenses for using Mobile Phone Protection & Delivery Service, etc.
  • notice2 Application for DCMX/DCMX GOLD membership will be subject to a predetermined screening process. Also applies to DCMX family cards and DCMX GOLD family cards. Applies to lines registered to use DCMX (iD) (excluding DCMX mini). Eligibility for privileges begins the day after enrollment.
  • notice3 Continuous length of DOCOMO use as of the end of the previous fiscal year (end of March). (Length of DOCOMO use is calculated with the month following a new subscription as the first month. However, if the subscription is made on the first day of the month, that month will be the first month. Note that if the subscription is suspended, the period of suspension will not be counted in the length of use.)
  • notice4 Please check the DOCOMO website etc. for subscription eligibility for each service.
  • notice5 The number of points earned in the current month is calculated based on the service subscription status as of the end of the previous month.
  • notice6 Includes Mobile Phone Protection Service.
  • notice7 Up until the bill issued in March 2015. From the bill issued in April 2015, five points will be awarded.

Other changes

  • docomo Point eligibility has been revised and only docomo Premier Club/docomo Business Premier Club members will be eligible henceforth. Furthermore, points will not be accrued under FOMA Location Information Service/FOMA Ubiquitous Service.
  • Due to the removal of requirements regarding annual usage amounts, the point present awarded to docomo Premier Club members who exceed the requirements for each stage (1,000 SP, 1,500 SP, 2,500 SP) will be discontinued.
  • noticeUsage charges for the month in which the subscribed line was cancelled will not be subject to the awarding of points.
  • noticePoints will expire when the subscription with DOCOMO is cancelled.
  • noticePoints cannot be transferred.
  • noticePoints will be carried over when subscription is transferred to another party.
  • noticeDetails such as the criteria and timing for the determination of each stage have not yet been decided. Such information will be made available through the DOCOMO website etc. as soon as it has been decided.

2. Expansion of Complimentary Member-only Services
(for docomo Premier Club members)

From April 1, 2014

Renewal of DOCOMO coupons

  • In addition to the existing coupons, specially-priced leisure and entertainment coupons exclusive to docomo Premier Club members will be made available to members of 1st Stage and above.
  • Grand Premier Stage and Gold Stage members will have monthly chances to win priority viewing tickets for premium theme parks in Japan and other free coupons.

Expansion of docomo Points award campaign

  • We will be conducting a campaign even more exciting than previous ones, with a chance to win docomo Points.

3. Revisions to Anshin Support
(for docomo Premier Club/docomo Business
Premier Club members)

From the 2013 winter lineup

docomo Premier Club Anshin Support will be partially integrated and Mobile Phone Protection Service will be newly provided.

  • Free Repair Service and Repair Fee Support will be integrated with Mobile Phone Protection & Delivery Service.
  • The name of the new service is Mobile Phone Protection Service and it will be provided as a service to comprehensively cover your mobile phone against emergencies.
  • 2013 winter or later models are compatible.
  • noticeUsers of 2013 summer or earlier models can use Free Repair Service and Repair Fee Support with or without a subscription to the existing Mobile Phone Protection & Delivery Service.
  • noticeIf Mobile Phone Protection Service (new service), Smartphone Anshin Remote Support, and Anshin Net Security are subscribed to together, they will be provided for the same monthly charge as that of the existing Anshin Pack.

noticeThe existing special bonus for continuing subscription of Mobile Phone Protection & Delivery Service (awarding of docomo Points) is not available with Mobile Phone Protection Service.

[Delivery of replacement device]

  • notice9 Devices that have been collected from customers, repaired, had their covers replaced, and undergone quality checks, and then been reset to the same state as a new product.
  • notice10 A replacement device may not be delivered within one or two days depending on the area or the time of application.
  • notice11 Charges will be billed together with the usage charges for the FOMA or Xi service etc.
  • notice12 This service can be used up to twice a year, with the day on which the service is first used (an application is made for compensation) counted as the initial date of use. The ¥5,250 (incl. tax) charge for first-time use will apply only if you have not used this service (made an application for compensation) within the past year up to the time of application for compensation.
  • notice13 A separate card issuing fee of ¥2,100 (incl. tax) will apply if the docomo mini UIM Card is reissued at the time of using this service. The reissued docomo mini UIM Card will be delivered with the replacement device.

[Repair fee support]

  • noticeNot applicable to water exposure, damage beyond repair (circuit board deformation/damage), or modifications (including software modifications).
  • noticeRepairs may not be possible depending on the model or malfunctioning part, or due to insufficient repair parts.
  • noticeApplies only to the device body. Rear covers, battery packs, and other accessories need to be purchased.
  • noticeDoes not apply to the battery replacement charge for devices with a built-in battery.
  • noticeA repair charge based on the part that has malfunctioned will apply from the fourth year from the time of purchase.

[Handset Data Recovery Service]

  • noticeSubmitted handsets are not eligible for repairs regardless of the result of recovery as they will be disposed of.
  • noticeTablets and some other devices are not eligible for this service. Please check the DOCOMO website for eligible models etc.
  • noticeAll or part of the data may not be able to be recovered depending on the condition (water exposure, damage, lock setting status, etc.) or data capacity of the mobile device submitted by the customer.
  • noticeThis service does not apply to some data (downloaded data, "Osaifu-Keitai" IC card data, etc.).
