Use notes for international dialing/messaging service

1. Charges

• The charges for use of the Service vary according to the country, region and the called party. The billing structure for the Service differs from that of the FOMA and Xi services. Together with the Other Use Notes, please refer to the latest information shown at "Service areas and voice/data communications charges" (in Japanese only).

• Communications allowances included in basic charges for the FOMA service, etc. apply to charges for the Service. However, communications allowances included in FOMA data communications and Xi data communications dedicated plans do not apply. Note that flat-rate discount services such as Mail Tsukai-hodai and Pake-hodai double, as well as discount services such as Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount, also do not apply.
• You will not be able to use the Service if you have applied for Device Plus 500, Device Plus 300, Type Limit, Type Limit Value, Limit Plus, FOMA Ubiquitous Plan, Ubiquitous Flat-Rate Plan, Otayori Photo Plan, Otayori Photo Plan Full, Prepaid Data Plan, Location Information dedicated plan, docomo DriveNet Plan, docomo DriveNet Plan Full, Flat-Rate Data Plan 128K, Family Wide Limit, or Family Wide Limit Value, etc.
• You will not be able to use the Service if you have applied for the WideStar communications service Type Limit.
• The charges for the Service will be listed on your bill separately from the FOMA and Xi call charges.
• Separate application is required to use the Itemized Billing Service for voice/data communications charges with the Service.
• The voice/data communications charges in this Service are included in the approximate amount applicable under the Charge Notice Service.
• If you have subscribed to the Charge Notice Service, you will be notified when the approximate amount for the total of the voice/data communications charges for the Service, International SMS communications charges, and domestic voice/data communications charges, etc. exceeds the amount you set in advance.

2. Limit on usage charges

• At the time of FOMA service or Xi service subscription, DOCOMO will set a monthly limit (charge limit) for charges incurred when using the Service. When the Service is used with 2in1, DOCOMO shall set the limit on charges separately for the A number subscription and B number subscription.
• DOCOMO will inform you of the monthly limit at the time of application. Furthermore, if you would like to change your usage limit, please contact a docomo Shop or the docomo Information Center. Please note that it may not be possible to change the limit in some cases. Users with 2in1 subscription can apply to change the limit for the A number subscription and the B number subscription, respectively.
• Please note that once your monthly usage amount for the Service has exceeded the limit, DOCOMO will suspend the Service. In this case, you will not be able to use the Service for the remainder of the current month. If you subscribe to 2in1, DOCOMO will determine whether your limit on charges has been exceeded separately for the A number subscription and B number subscription, based on the total amount of monthly charges for each, and the Service will be suspended only for the number for which the limit has been exceeded.
• Please note that the amount displayed on your mobile phone or announced by the information center upon your request is your monthly usage charge before discounts (Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount) and communications allowances are applied. Therefore, this Service will be suspended when your usage charges, before discounts have been applied, reach the monthly limit./li>
• Even when the monthly usage charges exceed the monthly limit, you will be required to pay all the monthly usage charges including those that exceed the monthly limit.
• The Service will be reactivated if, during its suspension, DOCOMO confirms payment of the total amount of charges for the month for the Service.
• If you have not yet reached your monthly limit, but expect that you will exceed the limit, you can avoid having the Service suspended by paying the total amount of charges for the month at any time during the month. (Whether or not the Service has been suspended, you will be able to use the Service again up to your monthly limit provided that DOCOMO confirms that the total amount of charges for the month has been paid).
• If you choose to pay charges for the month before the end of the month, discount services (Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount) and communications allowances will not be applied to that amount. Discounts (Yu Yu Call and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount) and communications allowances will be applied to the total amount of charges (including charges for the Service that have already been paid during the month) when the usage charge for the applicable month is billed.
• If you reach your monthly limit while using the Service (during voice/data communications), the active voice/data communications will be completed without interruption. Therefore, the charges billed that month may exceed the monthly limit, but you will still be required to pay all charges for that month including those that exceeded the monthly limit.
• Even if your monthly usage charges reach the monthly limit, in some cases the Service may not be suspended due to factors such as system disruption in DOCOMO telecommunications equipment. In such cases, you will still be required to pay all the usage charges for that month, including those that exceed the monthly limit.
• If the Service is suspended because your monthly usage charges exceeded the monthly limit, it will become available again on the first day of the following month.

3. Yu Yu Call

• To use Yu Yu Call with the Service, you must submit an application and register up to two international numbers for Yu Yu Call. (If you subscribed to 2in1 on or after March 3, 2008 and wish to apply Yu Yu Call to this Service with the B number, you will need to submit an application for Yu Yu Call under the B number subscription in addition to your A number subscription. You will also need to register the international numbers. Furthermore, to use the Service with the B number, you will need to subscribe to the Service from your B number subscription).
• Yu Yu Call will only apply to international calls using the Service. Yu Yu Call will not apply to international dialing service using other carriers. Note that the discount will be a uniform rate of 30%.
• Yu Yu Call does not apply to charges for International SMS, 64K digital communications, and incoming call charges for WORLD WING.
• Yu Yu Call will apply to voice communications charges from the month following application (applicable charges billed two months after).

4. WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount

• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount applicants must apply using the main line of a single billing group.
• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount will apply to voice/data communications charges for the Service for subscribers with two or more lines under a single bill, including at least one line with subscription to the Service and to WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount. (If you subscribed to 2in1 on or after March 3, 2008, you will need to incorporate A number and B number subscriptions respectively into the single billing group that fulfills the requirements above).
• Available to subscribers who are registered as the addressee of the bill.
• Voice/data communications charges are not eligible for WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount for lines subscribed to a Xi service or the following billing plans:

  WideStar communications service: Type Limit
• Lines subscribed to the following billing plan cannot be designated as the main line for WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount:
  FOMA: Type Simple (Value)
• If the subscriber allows a party other than the subscriber to use a line applicable to the discount for business purposes, or if any other condition arises that obstructs DOCOMO's business activities, discounts will no longer be applied. Furthermore, following application, if DOCOMO discovers a violation of any of the stipulations determined by DOCOMO, including those above, the WOLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount may be cancelled.
• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount is not available if you apply for Office Discount.
• Office-wari MAX50 and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount can be applied for simultaneously. However, only Office-wari MAX 50 discounts will be applied.
• Ikkatsu Discount/Bulk Line Discount and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount can be applied for simultaneously. However, Ikkatsu Discount/Bulk Line Discount will only apply to domestic voice/data communications charges, whereas WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount will only apply to international voice/data communications charges.
• WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount does not apply to charges for International SMS and incoming call charges for WORLD WING.
• Discounts will apply to voice/data communications charges for the Service from the month following application (applicable charges billed two months after).
• If you cancel WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount, the discount will apply to voice/data communications charges for the Service for the month of cancellation (applicable charges billed the following month). If you cancel in the middle of the month, the flat-rate charge for WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount for that month will not be refunded.
• Discounts are calculated on the day the bill is finalized (at the beginning of the month following the month of the use), and are not applied to the Cumulative Monthly Charges for voice/data communications for the Service when paying the amount before the end of the month.
• Discounts will be applied to the monthly total of voice/data communications charges for the Service, including the Cumulative Monthly Charges that were already paid before the end of the month.
• When applying for Office-wari MAX50, discounts for Office-wari MAX50 will apply from the day of application, and WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount will apply up to the month before application.
• The discount (35%) will be applied to voice/data communications charges incurred by single billing group lines that used the Service, with amounts less than ¥1 rounded up.
• Application for WORLD CALL Ikkatsu Discount can be made without applying for the Service. In that case, the monthly charge must be paid even if there are no voice/data communications charges subject to the discount.
• Discounts will apply when there are two or more lines in a single billing group using billing plans subject to the discount within the month. (If there are no lines or only one line using a billing plan subject to the discount during the month, neither discounts nor the monthly charge will apply).

5. Other important points

• Some DOCOMO services cannot be used at the same time as the Service.
• Depending on the communications conditions of the telephone company in the country you are calling, there may be cases where call and communication fees arise if you are connected to an advisory service from a telephone company of the country you are calling or when a ringtone sounds, etc., even if you do not connect to the party you are calling.
• As a general rule, charges will apply even if the number is a domestic toll-free number in the country you are calling. Please also be aware that some services, including toll-free numbers, may not be available.
• Lines may be congested and it may be difficult to make connections at certain times of the day.
• Even if your phone is set to display the caller ID to the other party, your phone number may not be displayed properly depending on the circumstances of the carrier.
• If you subscribed to 2in1 on or after June 1, 2009, separate application is required to use the Service with the B number if you have not applied to use the Service with the A number.

6. Changes to the Use Notes

• DOCOMO reserves the right to make changes to the above Use Notes as necessary. When a change is made, details of the change will be notified through means such as the DOCOMO website.
