If you apply in advance, you will be protected in the event of trouble.
There are two kinds of device protection so the service to subscribe to differs depending on the device you are using.

  • The condition to use this service is that you apply for the service within 14 days of purchase, including the day you purchased the device.

Mobile Device Protection Service

Applicable: Customers who applied for the service on or after Saturday, June 1, 2019

Application conditions
  • Application must be made within 14 days of purchase, including the day you purchased the applicable mobile phones.
  • Applicable mobile phones must not already be sustaining trouble at the time of application.
  • Phones given or leased by a party other than DOCOMO (or a DOCOMO retailer), and phones that have been found are not applicable.

Mobile Device Protection Service (Applied through May 31, 2019)

Applicable: Customers who purchased winter 2013 or later models by Friday, May 31, 2019

We have stopped accepting new applications for this service on Friday, May 31, 2019.
Customers who are currently subscribed will still be able to use this service.

Mobile Device Protection & Delivery Service (Applied through May 31, 2019)

Applicable: Customers who purchased summer 2013 or earlier models by Friday, May 31, 2019

We have stopped accepting new applications for this service on Friday, May 31, 2019.
Customers who are currently subscribed will still be able to use this service.

iPhone & iPad Users

If you apply in advance, you will be protected in the event of trouble with your iPhone or iPad.

Use one of the following warranty services.

Mobile Device Protection Service

Applicable: Customers who purchased iPhone or iPad on or after Saturday, June 1, 2019

Application conditions
  • Application must be made within 14 days of purchase, including the day you purchased iPhone or iPad.
  • Applicable iPhone or iPad must not already be sustaining trouble at the time of application.
  • iPhone or iPad given or leased by a party other than DOCOMO (or a DOCOMO retailer), and iPhone or iPad that have been found are not applicable.

Apple Care

  • AppleCare (Standard service / free)
  • AppleCare+ (Charges apply)

Mobile Device Protection Service for iPhone & iPad (Applied through May 31, 2019)

Applicable: Customers who purchased iPhone or iPad by Friday, May 31, 2019
